Played a 3 game series against the Yankees where Aaron Judge had 14 plate appearances. His stat line:

    14 Plate Appearances
    4 Walks
    7 Strikeouts
    3 Homeruns

If he got his bat on the ball, it was leaving the yard...LOL

    I love baseball.

Loving the game. Couple of more observations after about 30 games:
--Seems like too many hits down the lines that ordinarily would be automatic doubles are being limited to singles because the corner OFs get to the ball too quickly.
--Seems like a lot of ground-rule doubles.

Also, the Pirates have all RHPs. WTF? What kind of GM would assemble a staff like that?
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

After playing this game for about a week now, Im really impressed how improved this game is from where it was back in 17, which was the last time I had bought it.

I love how outfielders misplay balls now, way more often than they use to in this game. As Ive played on auto fielding, with me making the throws for several yrs now, just due to my reaction time, just isn't what it use to be. Plus you get to see a lot more animations with fielding on auto, which is added bonus of using auto fielding.

I think gameplay as a whole has improved so much over the past couple yrs that I skipped the game for OOTP. Ive always like the gameplay of MLBTS, so it was never bad to me, but its amazing now.

Graphics have always been good, and maybe its due to me skipping both 18 and 19, but the graphics seem to have been upgrading quite a bit, from what they were a couple yrs ago in 17.

Adjust your fielding sliders to 4/4 for speed and reaction.

Opens that up and solves it.

I was trying out the showdown mode and I had Chipper Jones in my lineup. Some fan was heckling him.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but i Feel this year's game is worse than last year's. This year it almost seems like the game is less sim as well. The majority of offense is through HRs, and there's too many HRs in general. For me it's almost impossible to play unless i'm playing with sliders.
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

Kind of ironic that I’ve been enjoying this years game more than the past several years yet because of the pandemic I’ve actually been playing less.

                  Family comes first.

                  I shouldn’t complain but.....dammit!

Hitting the ball off the green monster should be LOUD! You can hear the ball rattle off the wall on any broadcast..In The Show it sounds like a ball hitting a potato sack..They had it right a couple years ago and it never came back..

I play strictly franchise with quick counts every game all 162 since at least 2011. Love the gameplay, and the fact that sliders, camera angles, etc can help make the game play more to your skill level or preference. Always a few things to improve In the gameplay and presentation, but I have so much enjoyment playing this game every year, and to me, every year gets better And more realistic. I’m almost 50, and each March I’m like I was 5 yrs old on Christmas morning excited to get this game.

Feel like the game shifts far too dramatically on far too many players. Does anyone really deploy an all out shift on Mike Trout? He'd hit a double to right field every time if they did. Same for a dramatic all over shift on Kevin Kiermaier, it's the worlds easiest drag bunt for a hit if the 3rd baseman is at shortstop

Are there ever 1 pitch outs in this mode?

My first time ever playing the game, as I ended up getting a PlayStation for the first time ever to stave off pandemic-related boredom.

I literally have never played "The Show" before, but I've always had "Show"-envy, being an Xbox guy. I love it. I've always loved baseball, but I've always found baseball video games to get boring quickly. This one doesn't at all, and the pitcher/hitter interface is the best I've ever seen (with the possible exception of the original "RBI Baseball", but only when played on a flat tabletop game at your local Pizza Hut).

Hitting is really hard. I'm reluctant to go to "Strikezone 1" hitting view, even though it's clearly superior, because it takes so much enjoyment in terms of presentation out of the game for me (I like seeing the hitters and their batting stances/swings/etc). But it's a challenge and I'm happy it isn't a homer-fest.

All in all, I realize that my "Show"-envy all these years was actually warranted. This is pretty much the best sports game out there right now, IMO (obviously). I feel like it's the best representation of its sport among all the games. Glad this is going multiplatform in the future!

no quick counts are alway 1-1, 2-1, 2-0, 2-2, 3-0, 3-1, 3-2. Walks and K's are a little high some games, but a game can usually be played in 35-45 minutes. Been wanting 1-0, 0-1, and 0-0 count quick count pitches forever. I think the simmed pitches in quick counts are not counted as full in over all pitch counts. i.e. pitcher has 80 pitches thrown, next batter starts 2-2 count, the pitch count would be 82 or 83. not 100% certain the ratio used, but they're definitely not all counted. Also helps in my experience to bump up starter stamina +2 for me and CPU in this mode for realism.
