Found a roster and made some small tweaks and through April normal. Going to sim some tests and put it out there see if it works.

Based on thomas21 roster. Made a few small tweaks.

Ran a few sims and not prospects traded everywhere. Don't know if it was roster or server side.

Trade engine looks a little better this year. See quantity more and some better trades than last year. I want to test with budgets on and off. I think it's at a great balance now. If there are too many trades for your liking can tune slider. Want more crank it.

Adjusted couple mlb positions and some potentials of few minor league starting pitchers. Moved from b to c.

its almost like the default roster has a virus, and needs a 14 day quarantine. I could live with players having 3 options who should have 1 or 0 (not that I've seen that) but rookies yet to debut coming to the Show with zero, I think Sony went on a hiring spree and having a knowledge of major league baseball wasn't a priority, or even a qualification. which would be fine if they had some one supervising the whole deal who does possess that qualification. I can only assume that Diamond Dynasty makes no use of minor league options therefore isn't worthy of being implemented correctly. I'm going to just be brutally honest with my opinion here in that this doesn't have the feel of a Ridin approved roster.

Yeah, the ratings themselves don't exactly look OSFM quality either. A quick glance at the Rays and Dylan Couzens is apparently an A grade prospect, while noted speedster Vidal Brujan (a top 50 prospect in all of baseball, so not exactly obscure) is a mediocre runner with speed 60. A lot of it seems to be like this, a lot of prospects don't have the strengths or weaknesses they should have. I'm not expecting perfection or cutting edge prospect insight, but at least vaguely in line with the reports that are readily available online via numerous sources. Don't know if all teams are like this, but as you say, it doesn't look like it's been put together by someone with a whole lot of baseball knowledge

I agree, SONY ratings are always pretty trash, so them applying those same rating to minor leaguers just makes matters worse. Hopefully Ridin and the crew do rerates.

I agree, SONY ratings are always pretty trash, so them applying those same rating to minor leaguers just makes matters worse. Hopefully Ridin and the crew do rerates.

Guys like Cozens always have A potentials in the rosters created by Sony though. Any young guy who just debuted gets a good potential.

Also, let’s not act like the osfm rosters don’t have a ton of errors amongst their prospect ratings either. Not as bad with potentials as Sony but certain attributes make zero sense in the past games’ rosters like guys having 50-60 contact ratings despite hitting like .230 in AA. There are tons of times I have to edit the guys hitting or vision ratings to be more accurate. Idc because I spend a ton of time going through & re-editing every single player anyway but it does seem like alot of players have always seemed off or like they’re looking at different stats than I am. Guys K’ing 30+% in the minors having good vision ratings makes little sense.

It really does make franchise unusable at this point. I could work around the options issue, but the fact that you can’t send anyone down during spring training without it costing an option is game breaking.

This didn’t happen last year so this is a new bug. With the whole CVOID-19 thing going on right now I don’t see a latch coming anytime soon either

This is why we need to make our voices heard loud, I can't get immersed into franchise at all with this major issue.

Not touching roster until they fix it. This base can't be used as is. Really surprised it wasn't caught by QA or when the sony partners went. Unless this roster was last minute.

Any sim to April would have seen it. Usually dev's run sims to check for stats and anomalies etc. Its something that even overrides the trade slider.

It seems 90% of their focus is on Diamond Dynasty. Franchise mode has been getting less and less attention over the years. And when it looks like they are finally starting to give it some love this year, it ends up being a sloppy, thrown-together mess that wasn't properly tested. Frustrating.

I can't (and yet sadly I can) believe that SDS did this again. I remember last year when Michael Chavis was added as a CAP to the game he had 0 options. This has gotta be fixed immediately because otherwise it torpedoes any chance of a good, fun franchise. Hopefully it's as easy a fix as just a simple roster update and not a patch. But without MLB games until most likely Memorial Day, I'm not sure SDS will even give us a roster update before then.

There’s supposed to be an update coming adding missing prospects like Lux and many more that they couldn’t get approval for in time for the early access launch update. If this is a problem that doesn’t need to be part of a patch then hopefully it’s fixed in this coming one. We might be left waiting a while if it’s not.

Will release our roster next weekend, have made hundreds of tweaks and adjustments to potentials and spent hours balancing the roster and sims look much better. Will have all real players and hundreds of under the hood changes which will correct lots of these issues.
