I counted 29 trades at the end of April. CPU still trying to balance the roster.
CB- any big name trades or is it mostly shuffling minor leaguers around?

It’s mostly shuffling minor leaguers around. I did see Odor get traded but my hang up would be top prospects traded simply to balance a roster.

        Agreed

Outside of franchise everything should be editable on a player that’s in game. I’m surprised they allow you to change everything but options. I don’t see how editing them leads to anything drastic that would cripple roster management by the CPU.

This is what I've been saying for so long...just let me change anything and everything on my roster.

In my franchise I play a gamewith #1 starter. Then I simulate #2-5 and #1 SP. Play game with #2 SP. Then simulate #3 through #2 again. I just repeat this through a whole year. Takes 32 games to play full season. I finished a year in last 3 days. When it came spring training time I would just setup my 26 man roster even with guys going on waivers. Simulate 3 days in spring training and no one claims guys during spring training. Then I click to start season and it's all set. I have been a guy who restarts franchise for anything and everything. This year I told myself I'm starting this one and see how many years I can play.

I've got a franchise going but it's not my real serious franchise. It's just something to kill time. I'm waiting for Ridin's rosters to start my serious franchise.

Do most of the trades happen in spring training or the regular season?

I just started my franchise with the roster update. I've only played one regular-season game, but so far no trades in March. I went to the last game on my calendar for spring training and did the "sim to this date" to get through spring training.

Regular season, but I skipped Spring Training when I tested.

I hope next year they get feedback from people in the "community" for franchise mode. I have yet to see any "gamechanger" discuss or talk about franchise.

Some of these things should have been easily caught in San Diego when they visited if anyone was there looking at franchise.

Just small things that impact the overall polish of the game.

Thanks. I've played my second game, still no trades. *Knock on wood*

I have a couple of theories. I'm going to play a few more games to see how they play out.

One thing I wish they had is a trade approval feature like 2K has. I'm pretty sure The Show used to have it years ago. On 19, the Yankees were constantly trading for catchers in my franchise. I'd always check the transaction log before saving after I advanced each day. If there was a dumb trade, I'd reload and advance again. But a trade approval feature would be nice.

Yep. Would love to have a feature like that so we could void unrealistic trades.

I made it through March with no trades. But on April 1, a bunch of prospects were traded. The Royals traded Bobby Witt Jr. - the No. 3 prospect in the game - for a D potential right-fielder. April Fool's! I guess.

I don't have a way to undo it, so I guess I'm shelving this franchise and starting over when they fix it. Pretty frustrating.

Not an options issue. Ridins roster or mine do not have issue. It's due to roster balance. Need minimum 1 more at each position and 1 person at each position in aaa.

A little late to all of this. So I shouldn’t use the default rosters that come with the game b/c of the options snafu? Would i be better off using Ridins‘ or tabarnes’ rosters?

Any roster outside of the base default will have options fixed, even the latest Sony roster update.
