So will the pitching feature be all different in 21? I prefer the previous meter/button version. PLEASE say that will still be in 21...!!!

Re: MLB The Show 21 Information So Far
Every other time they have added a pitching mechanic (I think pulse pitching is the most recent addition, but I could be wrong) they have left all the others in as options as well.Chicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines

Re: MLB The Show 21 Information So Far
They already broke the bad news of no y2y saves, then removed the words revamped from advertising. So here's me reading to much into the "feature premiere" schedule dates. Franchise/MTO being in the middle is because whatever they are doing to the modes has a high chance to not be received well. So they build the hype with the first few videos. If the Franchise/MTO news goes down like a lead balloon they bank on next gen and DD news being able to drown out and distract from the potential negativity that would have been created.
Or it could be great news who knows it's all specualtion. To bad these folks leaking info can't leak some info about Franchise. Either way April 1st can't come soon enough."Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win."Comment

Re: MLB The Show 21 Information So Far
My two cents...hoping for Expansion Team mode.
With the ability to customize teams and now the leaked stadium builder option, I'm really hoping they add an MLB Expansion Team mode. For me, the most fun I've had playing Franchise was in an older game (don't recall which year/game) with Expansion Team mode where I went through an expansion draft and then tried to take that team to greatness.
All of the pieces are there, and being able to create a team from scratch and try to compete in Franchise mode would be awesome. (Way better, IMO, than DD mode where every team has the same players, and every player on your team can be an All-Star or HOFer.)Comment

I would love this. Expansion has been on the top of my wish list for several years now.

Completely agree.
Expansion + logo upload tool for uniform creation would lead to big big hours from me.

Re: MLB The Show 21 Information So Far
I think you're reading too much into it honestly. SDS typically does gameplay first (usually 2 streams), mode-specific streams, and then DD content reveals at the very end. The next-gen stream is obviously unique for this year; but the general info release progression is otherwise pretty standard for SDS.Last edited by jrnlgrn; 02-12-2021, 02:31 PM."Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win."Comment

Re: MLB The Show 21 Information So Far
Well I have all the show games, not my point, but I was on PS4 PRO from PS4 and that was a better experience. I now have the PS5 and XBOX X and MLB 20 looks better on PS5 which was not made for it, even 17 looks like an upgrade, But what they showed the other day MLB 21 PS4 version on PS5 I was not slightly impressed at all. It looked a step back to be honest, not a finished product I know and they don't put the finishing touches on until 2 weeks before launch, but you think like EA and 2K showed off NEXT GEN right away, why is SDS delaying that?
From my experience with this company your not going to be overly impressed, jaw dropping moment or you would have seen that the first video.
Expect pretty much of the same, players models did not upgrade until 17, I don't expect 2k Models, Fifa Models anytime on thus game. They really need to hire Take 2 as far as scans go, player models etc...
The entire cycle of PS4 baseball was behind 2K and Madden, now don't get me wrong I liked the changes from 17 until now (hated the removal of online franchise) but there still ages away from catching up graphically. The eyes, skin tones, the mouth movements and face reactions was a much needed addition, but still years behind other sports titles.
In closing, I live for this, live baseball and it's a nice looking game. It needs work still on base running, recording errors correctly especially online where I only play in leagues, but they need to allow using broadcast mode online. The latency issues for the longest time still exist on this game and will only be worse with the addition of XBOX and eventually Nintendo Switch.
Now was 2k as beautiful game compared to the Show? Not even close, but the latency, connections while playing online 100 times better vs. the show online.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4

Re: MLB The Show 21 Information So Far
I really hope there can be League Options within a franchise. If I want a DH after 1 year of a franchise or take out the extra innings rule after year 5. Rather than being stuck with the MLB settings throughout the entirety of the franchise
