Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
yeah, its been awhile now. like Blzer touched on earlier, I remember playing 12 on the Vita and the presentation was a night and day experience from the ps3.
and once the ps4 got here it kept getting cut shorter and shorter.
also and, when they did lengthen the presentation out it was with those silly things like once reaching base, every player had to do his little stir the pot hand celebration or whatever the hell those things were supposed to be. made me mad as hell and old before my timeOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I don't think player reactions were introduced till whatever year the Rangers started doing the moose antlers thing... unless that was a long time ago as well, and I'm just getting old, too.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
It’s not the sort of thing they are ever going to “tell you why”. It was done to further shorten game length down, and clear more space for modes and features they deem more profitable.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
And why would we as fans not want them to be more profitable? If DD brings them more money for the game, then I'm all for it even if I don't play those profitable game modes. The fact that people think that game modes get cut and are shortened bc of DD, is kinda funny to me. I would rather have them be super profitable than barely scraping by. If these game modes increase the longevity of the company and The Show, then by all means, keep profiting off DD. The hate that game mode gets is crazy to me.

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
I doubt Broadcast Presentation was scaled back to shorten the games since you can just play Hybrid or Short if you want shorter games. I've never noticed a difference personally, though I've never been good at remembering when certain features were created or axed.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
Didn't the Devs say the reason to bring in the L2 to see lineup was to shorten the presentation last year? and made it if you wanted to you had to remember to do it yourself? I feel like if your in broadcast mode you shouldn't have to remember to do things like that yet you can't skip 'flat out' Hedi'Comment

At least this year we can turn off 'flat out' Heidi![emoji4]Didn't the Devs say the reason to bring in the L2 to see lineup was to shorten the presentation last year? and made it if you wanted to you had to remember to do it yourself? Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
she would be alright if 99% of the time she didn't keep telling us my manager was 'flat out happy' with my at bats. even if I have 1 hit and the 0 runs after 5 innings. it's either that or telling us about the rain early on in the game which 99% of the time never stops the game too.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
Yeah while I do like the presentation it’s mostly just repetitive fluff and hurts the pacing of the game anyway. If it was more dynamic and variable it would be cool. Perhaps it will be better in 2021.she would be alright if 99% of the time she didn't keep telling us my manager was 'flat out happy' with my at bats. even if I have 1 hit and the 0 runs after 5 innings. it's either that or telling us about the rain early on in the game which 99% of the time never stops the game too.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
I love presentation but it's just so hard to get commentary right with sports games. with the the show they crap on about AVG and ERA being the only stats that matter when discussing a player. even if the player had a OBP of 400 it would be 'he is struggling only hitting 190 to start the season'.
it frustrates me. but that's just the way sports games are it can never ben done dynamically right.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
It can be done dynamically right, it's just not a priority. Practically all developers just focus on the unique stories and trying to get back and forth banter in the game. None of them focus on being generic in the right manner with the emphasis being on dynamic stat tracking. That's why all of the games get irritatingly repetitive. All of them will be repetitive no matter what, but it doesn't have to be repetitive in a poor manner, it's just the way all of these companies build their commentary.I love presentation but it's just so hard to get commentary right with sports games. with the the show they crap on about AVG and ERA being the only stats that matter when discussing a player. even if the player had a OBP of 400 it would be 'he is struggling only hitting 190 to start the season'.
