I was just wondering if maybe they were returning to the ability to turn off each talking head one-x-oneOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
I mean Heidi could be used for different things like reporting injuries. maybe someone is 'flat out in the best shape of their life' or flat out broke a wrist.
but sadly all she talks about is how well your hitting is going and it is never not going good no matter how crap you are going.
There is so much more they could use with her even madden in madden 98 would talk about how well or good a team is going before a game. or if they were injured. I used to love maddens report.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
MLB 11 was the last time we had Real Time Presentation.
I actually re-installed it and played a few games in RTP.
Took about almost three hours to complete a game.
Even playing with the normal broadcast presentation on MLB 11 it took around 2hours and 40 minutes (“give or take) to finish 9 innings without skipping a thing.
That was the last version of the game where you had full batter step outs/rituals at the dish.
MLB 12 was the beginning of streamlining broadcast presentation and RTP was removed starting with 12.

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
Introduced in MLB 10 and removed in MLB 12? Before the rise of Diamond Dynasty, quick counts, moments, critical situations, three-inning games, MTO, and whatever other else people like to use as a bogeyman?
Sounds like it was just something they decided wasn't used or didn't work out the way they wanted so they pulled it.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
I’m so confused I thought it was introduced in 12. Before 12 everything was prerendered cutscenes, or so I thought. Yes there was full throw back to the pitcher but the batter never left the box. I just remember 11 being more of the old school “batters feet are stuck in the batters box in between each pitch”.
I thought 12 introduced real time dynamic on the field action, where everything was happening real time and the camera was free to shoot what the programmers wanted.
I guess I got it all wrong.Comment

When it comes to presentations, we’ve officially thrown caution to the wind. Why the risk? Well, we deem it a necessary one in our quest to blur the lines between a real baseball TV broadcast and MLB The Show. We know that series fans demand an accurate simulation of reality and we’re doing our best [...]
All I want is for them to return the ability to sit there and watch the entire game play out if I want to. I don't want a single thing being skipped unless I press the button. The game randomly skipping foul balls, throws back to the pitcher, etc. is jarring and for such a small thing, I hate it a lot.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

10 Was the introduction of real-time presentation. 12 was the introduction of TruBroadcast rpesentation which was essentially bringing real-time presentation to life.

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
I said this in some other thread at one point, but they also need to hook Heidi up with a much better face scan. She is easily the best looking person in the game now that Bartolo Colon is retired and deserves to not look like a waxy robot.
And stop making her wear a coat in Summer. That's just flat out mean.Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
I’d be fine without even seeing Heidi. Also wish she was more dynamic. She could update injuries, report on trade rumours, who is on the trade block and which teams are interested, who’s hot and who’s not etc....

especially since no one in the booth warrants animation. I feel like w/o the animation taking up valuable memory, they could fit more actual meaningful dialogue in for her.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
For a short time SDS was right in their prime with options. RTP was great and they gave everyone the option to turn it off. Play the game how you saw fit. If they'd just add QC to what they had, everything would have been golden. These past 6/7 years there are in "either or" mode. Either you get this option, or you don't.
SDS used to be known for not taking things away. Now, they are just like all the rest. Who would have thought ten years ago are now becoming the good ole' days?Comment

Re: Were we ever told why Real-Time Presentation was removed?
Would be cool if there was a choice on every play to have a replay by pushing R3
NBA Live did it it was about the only thing it did well lol
