Re: MLB The Show Trade Discussion Thread

As was the case before, players are perpetually tied to their last team without free agency even after exiting. The contracts determined during the 1879 reserve clause forever bind the player to his previous team or club.
As per record, baseball arbitration played a major part in the establishment of the free agency, particularly because arbitration, unlike litigations, does not cost much.

I always look at the trade block first when trading for players as those teams are looking at getting rid of that player for some reason.
With that said .. TB has Wander Franco on the trade block .. why ???? But if they want to get rid of him I will make an offer.
So my cards are in need of a SS. I have top prospect Gorman sitting in AAA having great year , but no spot for him because of Arenado , and I have a surplus of OF's.
So I was going to offer Gorman, Dejong, and Nootbaar for Franco and a AA OF... which would be accepted by TB. But before I did that , I wanted to hear thoughts on it.

Its a trade i wouldn't make because I just know the Rays would never trade him.

But if I WAS going to make a trade for that kind of top level prospect, I would make sure that it hurt. Lol. That I was giving up way more than I wanted to.

So, I'm at the trade deadline as the Jays, and I'm in the thick of the wildcard race. I want to acquire JRam from Cleveland, who are in 4th in the AL central

A trade that they will accept is Gunnar Hoglund (SP, mid A potential), Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (LF, high B potential, having an okay season), and Otto Lopez (INF, mid B potential) in exchange for JRam. It's more than I want to give up but I know they wouldn't give him up for nothing irl, is this a good trade?
