Just so there is no confusion, you cannot turn it on/off in exhibition/play now mode. Its on by default.

In franchise mode you can toggle it on/off just like before.

Thanks for clarifying. I saw your response on page 1 of your Q/A thread saying it can be turned on or off and assumed you meant in Play Now mode.

Oh. I thought it was an option too, but I suppose that would have made too much sense to let us toggle it in exhibition. Thanks for clarifying and saving me $70, therefore ending my post-20 Show days lol. That was legit my dealbreaker 😔

hey baumy (BTW, love your roster work, solid as it gets), hey baumy, don't spend that $70 elsewhere just yet, there may be a very simple and reasonable workaround:

hey, cb, can't you start with a dh and then let your pitcher bat in his stead thereby forfeiting your DH the rest of the game? plus, carrying 26 players into a game instead of the old traditional 25 players, it's really okay to lose that extra bat. providing you can carry 12 pitchers on your 26 man roster instead of 13. thanks, cb, correct me if I'm mistaken!

I think he confirmed in the Q and A that you can't have Ohtani pitch and DH at the same time so you could not get that to work at all. he could only be used in the outfield.

yeah, this wouldn't be the same as pitching and DH'ing. this workaround would be giving up your DH, after starting with one, to let your pitcher bat. you basically lose a bench player right off the bat w/o ever using him, but since you carry 26 players now instead of 25, it should be alright as long as you can carry 14 position players instead of 13. that might be the one possible hangup, if you're forced to carry 13 pitchers

Thanks Caulfield. I'm still slowly chipping away at some new additions/sets I plan on releasing, thanks for the support.



That's a great idea to get around this war on baseball but I think I might just have to accept things for what they are at this point for offline baseball fans. Part of me hopes the toggle option comes back, but the other part of me knows it won't. I'll keep an eye out for your fix here and see how it comes into play tomorrow when more people have the game. Either way, that's a brilliant idea you have.

In franchise mode you have 3 options:

ON - UNIVERSAL DH (NL & AL)

AUTO: TRADITIONAL DH (AL ONLY)

OFF: NO DH FOR EITHER LEAGUE
