I'm only playing 'Play Now' right now so it's not like I'm in a season and they're already a bit gassed. It happens if I set them to Ready and Waiting, if I don't, if I let them warm up a long time, short time, etc. Doesn't matter. Anytime I use that feature it happens. Drives me crazy...
Yes once they are fully warm ill set them to ready and waiting and then schedule pitcher to come in if i need him for the start of the next inning. Im playing franchise and my bullpen is constantly gassed lol

I think that is your problem and unfortunately when using quick counts it's a feature that you really need to work correctly.

Try not using that feature and just replace the pitcher (even if a count is already generated) and see if you still have the problem. My guess is you won't, you'll just need to bring in a new pitcher with a count already generated.

MLB 21 was a huge disappointment because you can't replay RTTS. Never had a game in 5 decades that didn't let you start over. Just as you figure out what sliders work for you, you're stuck on a path already. Sure you can start a new career - with the same player who is now at a 90 level. And the 2 way player is so stupid. .300 hitting pitcher who whenever your pitching the game puts you in the #9 hitting slot and the defense is always expecting a bunt. Soooo...

Does MLB 22 let you reset your RTTS player to the base level so you're not a rookie at a 90 level?

Does the game still treat a great hitting pitcher as a .100 hitting pitcher?

You can create multiple players now, so yes, you can completely start over if you want with all your attributes back to the beginning.

I don't know about RTTS, but in general the game considers hitting for a pitcher now. It's not perfect, as you can't DH on days you pitch (if you have that turned on), but the Angels will use Ohtani, for example, as a DH on his off pitching days, and pitcher hitting ability impacts Overall.

            Re: MLB The Show 22 (PS5/Xbox Series X|S) Q&A

Have been very much away from this franchise, '18 was my last game in the series after buying every year since 06. Have done my fair share of browsing through the forums this year to get impressions, info, etc. Haven't seen nearly as much conversation on the game as I grew up with on this game, which worries me a bit.

As a purely franchise player, and after taking a few years off, I have these questions:

            - How does the featured "improved" trade logic work? Are franchise player-type guys still getting shipped off 2-3 years into a franchise?

            - How has player progression improved? I know the game is still relatively new, but in the old games, I always felt like there were never any middle-of-the-road prospects who were stuck in AAA for 3-4 years waiting for their shot. It was either studs knocking down doors or total filler players.

            - How is injury frequency? I can't even count how many times my old franchises were derailed because 3-4 guys were on the 60-day DL. Yes, this is possible in real life, but when it happened multiple years in a row, it got a little old.

            - Lineup logic: Does the CPU still control changing your lineup when you make manual injury decisions? I'm not sure if that makes sense, but if there was ever a minor injury, the CPU would automatically change my lineup around, even when I had had "Lineup" adjustments set to manual.

            - I've heard great things about the new commentary team. How has this translated into franchise? Do they mention playoff races, recent injuries, stat leaders, hot streaks, etc. They had gotten better with this before I stopped playing but still not where it should have been.

I'm sure I could ask more. I just really miss this game. Really frustrated by the franchise offering over the last few years, which is why I stopped buying. Appreciate any insight into if it's worth the $70 price tag.

Quick question, i remember someone mentioned that in MLBTS22 during Jackie Robinson's day all the players wear patches on the caps and uniforms to celebrate the day, i just did an exhibition with the live roster but no patch appeared, all the players were only wearing number 42, is it correct?

I just started a franchise and simmed until Robinson day, the players have the blue 42 on the jerseys and the 42 patch on the hats and jersey sleeve, plus they have different stance socks.

I assime this should only work in franchise and not in the exhibition with live roster?

For the 15th, it supposed to be happening everywhere in the game. Even Diamond Dynasty.

In the live roster exhibition both teams wear only number 42 no patches on the uniforms and hats. Someone else experienced it?

I know there are issues with cross progression between ps5 and switch, but I'm wondering if cross saves are working? I only play franchise and am considering a switch if the cross saves are working.

Apologies if this has already been asked and answered, but is there any news on a possible update to include the new playoff rules for Dynasty mode on ps5? I've been waiting to start my franchise in hopes this will get updated soon. Thanks!!

I'll be very surprised if the playoffs are changed before next year's game.

Is this using auto baserunning/manual/either doesn't matter?

Does it only occur when the ball is popped up/in air, or does it occur with groundballs as well?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
