Thought of another thing. Injury durations. Some of them are just way too short. The maximum for a concussion is 12 days. A strained Oblique leaves you out a maximum of 5 days. Guys can miss weeks or months with those injuries. And if those had more variable durations, you probably wouldn't have to see the plethora of arm fractures that you do. And really long term injuries (like Tommy John) are way too rare imo.
And then there's the weird durations. If a pitcher gets injured, they go on a 15 day IL. But did you know there's no such thing as a 15 day injury in this game? It's impossible. You can sprain your ACL and be out 12 days, but if you have arthroscopic knee surgery, you're out a minimum of 35 days. It's impossible to have an injury length between 13 and 34 days. And then there's also an even biggest gap. There's no injury durations between 71 and 179 days. So players that miss ~4 months simply don't exist. And then injuries max out at 254 days, which is a little under 8 1/2 months. Which would be fine for something like an ACL, but other injuries like Tommy John still normally take over a year.
Injuries need a complete overhaul.
