Having to squint to find graphical improvements from one year to the last isn’t horrible… Unless it’s for the 4th year in a row.

Pretty telling how they completely stopped doing "graphics" streams about 5 years ago. And the only thing they've mentioned on the subject since coming to current gen is 4k/60fps.

I dont understand the game doesnt look good talk, this game is very beautiful.

Face scans, stadiums, equipment are all very nice to look at.

I’m always underwhelmed by the videos (compressed I’m sure) in these reveals. 22 is absolutely stunning In every respect, so 23 will be also. A nice rig also helps.

Not much different than last year in my opinion, colors have changed. Hopefully we get a network presentation they are hiding for now.

I feel kinda lost on all these excited comments

First let me say i am 100% buying the game regardless and maybe this is just me being in my 40's and I just can not see things as great as I could 10 years ago

But what am I missing? Every animation they showed I feel like I have seen before in 22 or before. Honestly I thought the entire video the only new thing was some flashy art on the screen which is really no big deal at all.

Please help me understand what everyone saw that was really so exciting? I feel like I am missing it.

I know this is trivial, but I was hoping to see catchers sit on one knee like so many do in real life now.

As far as the graphics go, yeah, I want better graphics and player models. It would make the game feel fresh, but I can't sit here and say they look bad.

Also, just because they still make the last get versions, that shouldn't hold them back. NBA 2K and Madden use different graphic engines for their next gen games. Maybe it's just too big of an undertaking right now. Maybe next year I guess.

Still excited though. Gameplay changes sound good.

I am going to buy anyway just saying.

I hope franchise mode is great. I feel like we all hyped but it seems like it will just be a draft thing. Hoping there is more.

I’m so underwhelmed. ‘Maybe next year’ should be the title of this series from now on.

If we are celebrating having the correct rules (but not all of them), along with the fielding meter now moving then that tells us everything we need to know. Diamond Dynasty has killed this series from innovating.

It’s going to be a good game, it always is. But it was a good game in 2010, with the new technology it should now be a GREAT game. And I’m bored with it.

This isn’t next gen. Not even close.

I understand what you are saying. I was underwhelmed by the visuals (as Im a graphics w#ore), but liked what was talked about gameplay wise. I don’t think, in all these years, I’ve been wowed by any of these streams. The video in that stream looked compressed and had frame rate issues. Seems they always do. But when I purchase the game and start it up on my 65” Samsung QLED…..that’s the wow factor. Never fails to please me.

They get my money I think I have just built up such high expecations in my own mind each year that maybe its impossible for them to hit them and it lets me down. Probably not their fault its mine for having seen what NBA 2K can do and wishing they could one day match it

Well, those hundreds of new fielding animations don’t pan out every game, but I can certainly see thru the course of my season some pretty cool stuff I hadn’t seen before. I use AUTO field, MANUAL throw and CLASSIC pitching. No hot/cold zones, pitch types displayed…..clean screen.

Sorry my son was showing me something and my post was short and I didn’t think it posted.

I’m excited about what they announced in terms of gameplay changes (increasing more swings and misses, reducing foul balls, the animations of fielders etc)

Obviously it’s a tough thing to see and appreciate in a video but I’m excited about how it’s going to make the game feel and play when we get the chance to play tomorrow in the tech test

I’m not a graphics person. I appreciate the graphics but I grew up with Atari 2600 so for me gameplay is king. And the stream has me excited in that regard

For me gameplay always comes before graphics, and I personally think that the game looks beautiful. For me The Show is always a game that feels better from year to year when I play it bc of gameplay changes. I wouldn't mind updated models and such, but when the gameplay is as fun as it is, it doesn't bother me.
