But more than that, people are saying they are seeing different hit types. For instance, I was not allowing ANY homers. Kept moving CPU power up every couple games I was not giving up a homer. Post patch - Ive given up a ton of home runs with good pitchers and literally every mistake has been crushed. So I needed to move the power slider down a notch for the cpu.

Another example , something I've noticed about prior mlbts is like with default power slider, I will hit a decent amount of homers. But these homers will ALL be distributed to my power hitters above a certain rating, Say 65 power. And it's like anyone under that number will have no homers. Now if I up that power slider than I can get anyone to hit a homer but now there's too many homers. So I have to tinker with solid hits, timing sliders etc to get a good balance.

But just my point about when ppl mention how the game simulates ups and downs, I can see after about 5 games if I have not hit a homer that I will be last in the league homers. Like in my experience, playing multiple 162's, im not gonna all of sudden lead the league in homers now.
I do this too but still cant walk the cpu. I have control at 0 and consistentcy at 1. But i was seeing that pre patch

Hitting for me doesnt seemed to have changed since the patch

I'm using classic pitching and directional hitting. I ask you because maybe the slider guys can help you? Although I think country uses meter pitching on legend with all sliders on default and its working fine. I'm just looking for someone that can help since I don't use meter pitching .

As more people keep coming on here to say they are experiencing different things post patch, more of you are telling us to play more games But anyhow I have nothing more to say here. I HAVE been experiencing changes post patch like many here, had to adjust sliders and I'm good now. If you haven't experienced changes, that's awesome too. Even better.

You mentioned the phrase “for arguments sake” multiple times in your post which is why I made the comment. It was an in jest post.

lol gotcha, "for arguments sake" was probably the wrong terminology. I was just trying to give a hypothetical.

New to the forum, but I too have been experiencing what seems to be nerfed offense since the latest patch. I was hitting just fine first 4 games of my franchise, but my last few games it seems the ball is heavier, it's just not going anywhere, even with solid contact. Sure you'll get the occasional hit and even the occasional home run, but to me it's actually quite clear that hitting has been toned down since the last patch. If others aren't seeing it, kudos to them. To me it's not even debatable.

Re: Has something changed in hitting?

Past 4 games in a Rockies franchise.

                  Rockies over Padres 2-0
                  Dodgers over Rockies 2-0
                  Rockies over Dodgers 8-6
                  Rockies over Nationals 11-9

The last game was at Coors so that may have helped but I’m still getting mixed results in my games post patch.

Not trying to discount what others are experiencing just chiming in with my experience.

I agree. Tbh this is the worst any show has played for me. The more i play the more i realize to me this game is broken. Hitting is non existent on both sides…and the cpu hitting is HORRID. On legend difficulty i’ve given up 42 runs in 15 games. Hit the least amount of home runs. Given up the least amount of home runs. I don’t understand.

I mean..."experiencing different things" is so vague though. There have been maybe two or three (?) people who actually gave specifics in their post, the rest is all 'this feels different' or 'something seems off'. There's not much discussion that can be had with feelings.

There are so many variables involved, from everyone's natural controller reaction time, to game ratings, to modifiers for hot/cold streaks, clutch situations, camera angles, difficulty levels, pitching and hitting interfaces to just say it feels different and have that mean anything.

The only way to really compare is to - and I know you're going to hate me saying this, haha - play more games.

Re: Has something changed in hitting?

Before the patch in about 60 games I hit 1 HR with Tommy Edman, in 10 games or so since I've hit 6 with him. I went from mid pack in team HRs in the league to 7th in those games.

I actually went from All-Star to HOF because I was putting up 7+ runs every game.

All sliders are default except I upped pitch speed a couple notches at the beginning of the franchise.

I think people just see what they think they are seeing. As someone else said, there are too many variables at play within the game to think they tuned down hitting just because you have played a handful of games that it hasn't gone your way.

Just for reference, before the patch I was hitting .276 as a team. In 3 games I've gone down to .221. Not only that, but take a look at this little gem right here. I went 15 innings just now with the Yankees vs. The Phillies. I struck out 25 Phillies. Now granted it was 15 innings, but take a ganders at Cole's line. 15 k's in 7 innings. This is on default legend pitching. And take a look at hitting. I had 7 hits in 15 innings. All singles.

Sorry guys, but it's OBVIOUS something has changed since the last patch.
