Re: Introduce yourself:
I will be 65 later this month.
I have worked in construction most of my life from residential to commercial.
I live in the country and used to have cattle but health issues have put an end to that.
I’m retired now thanks to those health issues.
I have been married to the same woman for 40 years. We have 3 kids, 9 grandkids.
I played baseball until I turned 40 in the Fort Worth leagues.🇺🇸 58,281 🇺🇸Comment

Originally posted by Ghost Of The YearHello, my name is Wayne and I'm a baseball junkie. I've been addicted for over forty years and I gave up long ago any treatment can cure me. I'm also unsure I even really have a problem. I can probably quit any time I want.
Little additional back story, after witnessing my parents deaths in a mugging gone wrong, I now use my vastly considerable resources to keep vigil and protect the city by any means necessary. I would volunteer more information here, but then I would have to hunt down each and every one of you and eliminate the problem.Comment

Re: Introduce yourself:
I'm a high school English teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area.
While I do enjoy other sports (namely football, and, to lesser extents, hockey and soccer), baseball has always been my first love. I played from when I was 5 until I was 13, and have been to hundreds of live games in my life. Between the Giants, the A's, and the Minor League/Independent teams in Northern California, I usually go to between 20 and 25 baseball games each season.
The first baseball video games I can remember playing were All-Star Baseball 2004 and MVP Baseball 2004 for the PS2 (that should give you a general idea of my age).
As far as The Show, specifically, is concerned, I was actually an Xbox-only person for an extended period of time. I finally picked up a PS4 in 2017 and have been plugged into the series' discourse ever since. I still remember JerseyBorn's excellent A's franchise series on YouTube for MLB 16 being one of my biggest motivating factors for finally picking up a PS4.MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)

Re: Introduce yourself:
This thread is a cool idea KnightTemplar.
I did a little time with the US Army. Deployed to a base in Mosul, Iraq that is now a big pile of bombed out concrete and rocks.
Came home and worked 10 years in a chemical factory where I eventually got into organized labor leadership.
Decided that line of work was for the birds and got into a different industry. Currently work in a non-descript building doing very sciency things with very sciency people making things that are hopefully good for civilization.CarefreeComment

Introduce yourself:
Hellooooooo!
I am Michael. 54 years young.
Married 25 years this October and we have one amazing son currently a freshman playing college baseball.
I am a longtime baseball player/coach as well as musician who like KnightTemplar played in various original rock bands from 1984-present. When I am wearing my
Clark Kent suit I am a wealth manager to pay the bills. I have been doing that since 1998 and love it.
My son also is a highly talented progressive rock drummer.
Our favorite band is Rush. We also love Porcupine Tree, Led Zeppelin, Dream Theatre and many other great rock bands. We are actually recording our first album together along with my longtime bass player.
I have been on OS for too long as well....am a well documented video game addict, especially when it comes to MLB The Show, NBA2K, Madden and NCAA Football.
I also develop sliders if you didn't know.....lol. Niche players who enjoy clean screen and ratings driven gameplay seem to enjoy my small contributions to the community.
Operation Sports is a place we need to continue to harbor community and goodwill. There are a lot of very good people in here sharing ideas, and making mods, rosters and sliders for everyone to enjoy.
It's really a cool island for all of us sports gaming junkies.
Peace.

Re: Introduce yourself:
My name is Will, between IGN in the mid 2000s and perusing these boards, I’ve been a sports game addict a long time. They were always my favorite games growing up, mostly NCAA, MVP baseball/MLBTS, and Madden with some NBA thrown in here and there.
Franchise and dynasty guy, though I did dabble in online a few Maddens ago and used to do in NCAA, including a few Online Dynasties from IGN.
Only recently started posting here but have always enjoyed the community here. Under an old name I helped out with the Braves farm system for OSFM a long, long time ago (off the top of my head 09 or 10). These forums have always been the go to for sliders and rosters.
Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta sports fan in general with the Braves being my second favorite sports team.Comment

Re: Introduce yourself:
Born in east London, currently live in the Home Counties. I have a 3 year old and worked in the dull insurance industry for almost 20 years. Used to sing and play bass in various bands.
My sports passion is Leyton Orient, a lowly soccer team in east London. Randomly got into baseball (it’s not a thing here) after joining a fantasy league on a whim in 2004, on a nirvana message board. I drafted lots of Rays players hence I didn’t know what I was doing and then fell in love with them.
I used to play high heat baseball, spending hours editing rosters and players. And because of the format differences in the U.K., I’d play in black and white. So when I discovered the show, wow what a difference.Comment
