Hellooooooo!

I am Michael. 54 years young.

Married 25 years this October and we have one amazing son currently a freshman playing college baseball.

I am a longtime baseball player/coach as well as musician who like KnightTemplar played in various original rock bands from 1984-present. When I am wearing my
Clark Kent suit I am a wealth manager to pay the bills. I have been doing that since 1998 and love it.

My son also is a highly talented progressive rock drummer.

Our favorite band is Rush. We also love Porcupine Tree, Led Zeppelin, Dream Theatre and many other great rock bands. We are actually recording our first album together along with my longtime bass player.

I have been on OS for too long as well....am a well documented video game addict, especially when it comes to MLB The Show, NBA2K, Madden and NCAA Football.

I also develop sliders if you didn't know.....lol. Niche players who enjoy clean screen and ratings driven gameplay seem to enjoy my small contributions to the community.

Operation Sports is a place we need to continue to harbor community and goodwill. There are a lot of very good people in here sharing ideas, and making mods, rosters and sliders for everyone to enjoy.

It's really a cool island for all of us sports gaming junkies.

Geddy Lee can often be seen sitting behind home plate at Jays home games. Apparently he’s a huge baseball fan and has a large collection of autographs.

44 years old, 45 in May.
Divorced with a 12-year-old daughter of whom I share 50-50 custody (still sorta friends with ex).
With current gf for 10.5 years. She also has a teenage son so it works well. She's a gem.
Work in budgeting and forecasting for last 22 years, with current company for 16 of them.
Live in Queens, NY. Have my whole life except for one year I lived in Antigua while ex was going to medical school.
Been playing show since its inception.

I found this board in 2010 when I was playing MLB 2K10 on my brand-new Xbox 360 (I played MLBTS 06 prior but after that I was an Xbox and 2K boy). I saw an album of 100+ screenshots for the upcoming MLB The Show with Mauer on the cover and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe how great the game looked compared to 2K. Mind you, this was probably March 2010 and I had just received my new Xbox 360 from Santa that previous Christmas. So, I knew I didn't have the option to play this gorgeous game. Fast forward to that summer, I turned my chore money into a brand new PS3 and MLB 10 The Show and never turned on my Xbox again.

Today, I'm 28 years old, living in New York City with my fiancee and our 2 year old puppy, working in finance and been playing MLB The Show year round since that summer. It got me through high school, undergrad, grad school and many different jobs/career paths along the way.

Lifelong Mets fan thanks to my dad, former DIII catcher with a .500 career batting average (only played one season before my arm failed me but went 1-2 at the plate my freshman year). These days my playing career turned into softball twice a week in central park.

Agreed! I'm 33 and thought I would be about the regular age. Hopefully my video game fandom remains this strong as I get older.

I'm one of the younger ones here based on most of the responses - turned 27 last year. I'm currently still living with my parents, and have been since my college graduation - but I did recently get pre-approved for a mortgage so hoping to buy a house some time this year. I played football and baseball in college at a D3 school, and I currently work as a financial analyst for a concrete company.

Got into these forums over a decade ago now (boy were some of my early posts cringy as a then 15-16 year old), primarily for NCAA Football rosters & sliders, but I've spent most of my time in The Show's forum

So with this thread we have established quite a bit.

1. We can build stuff and we have the ability to blow it up.

2. We have Military veterans and Law enforcement officers. (I cannot thank you all enough for your sacrifice and service)

3. We have a variety of administrative people, school teachers, financial folks and produce worker.

4. Plenty of musicians to serenade us

5 one Canadian

6. and Batman.

I would say we are pretty much covered.
This is the best thread we have had in a long time.

Been lurking my friend. Made a bit off an a$$ of myself not too long ago. Had a mental break and have been putting my life back together again. Slowly but surely.
