I don’t want commentary to be going on about inclusion.

I just want a game that continues to replicate the MLB as best as the developers can.

I really don’t have a problem with female RTTS characters. I mean, I have 3 granddaughters and I d be over the moon if they ever show any interest in baseball.

I just want franchise to be reflective of the current MLB.

Whew. Got that off my chest, now I feel better.lol
If they were to do this I have to imagine it would be something you’d toggle on yourself, like legend FAs.

I’m so excited because I finally get to create myself in a baseball game, I wonder if we can use the face scan thing?

C’mon…..misogyny? I think guys are just frustrated with the marketing they’ve seen so far. I can understand that.

Listen I am all for adding women, but did anyone request this? Like was there an over whelming amount of people contacting them saying please add women to the game?

Still know very little about this game except that as a core consumer I feel like I'm on the outside looking in with all of these features on display meant to expand their audience and garner critical acclaim versus improving on the main features already in place from recent editions.

It's like someone selling you a car and all they're talking about are the sunroof and cup holders included when instead you're more interested in learning the details on the engine.

I am fine with it but I am just wondering does this add any business for them? Like what marketing agent told them it does?

While I'm ok with them making a mode in RTTS I agree that there shouldn't be females in Franchise, or at least give the gamers the option to turn off their inclusion like legends. I also think if there isn't any marked improvements elsewhere this was a waste of time and just another passion project. So much needs to be improved in other areas before time and resources go to this. But if the mode is contained and something that those that want to keep realism in the game won't be affected by then so be it.

I'll reserve my full judgement till we get more details but this doesn't excite me. Happy for those that are excited for it but I just know there is more to do thank make a fictional mode for a gamer base that isn't really your key demo.

It makes a lot of sense. Women and girls are, this might shock you, a big demographic, some (perhaps even many) of whom enjoy baseball and play the game already, and more could become interested thanks to this feature.

Women’s sports are having a moment, too, with basketball getting a ton of attention but the PWHL seeming to do better than expected as well. Sure baseball doesn’t have an equivalent (yet?) but that also suggests there’s a market for women in sports content.

See that is what I would like to know. You nailed it, I want to know how many females actually play MLB the Show. You say a lot but where did you find those numbers? I would love to see it. Cause if its great for business it makes sense. But if the numbers are flat in that area then they are wasting resources on something when they could be improving other areas.
