CAPs look really good, some CAPs even have their names in (Noah Schanuel for example). Not a huge fan of the white menus, but it is what it is. I'll have to play around more and see how it's feeling. I'll have to see if my last name is in the game this year for RTTS; it's not a common one, but it was in the game for the last 5 years, at least.

Edit: Not a huge fan of the regional theme this year for the team's cities/regions. Last year it felt more tied to the franchise and city/region - now it feels super generic.

Kinda cool they have designated Rule 5 guys in the main roster, however you can’t release or outright them or anything until opening day.

haha me too. I noticed if you hold R2 down the pitch clock stops until you release R2. Not ideal for texting, but a quick way to pause the clock if you have to look away for a minute.

Also, the start with injured players option is really cool. The only annoyance is that they have players out for 3-4 months, but you can’t manually injure someone for that duration. It’s still the same restricted injury times they have had for years. (1-5, 52-70, etc.)

Oh the hair. The glorious hair. Adds so much realism.

I really like the whole aesthetic.i agree the menus are a bit tough to read. But the whole aesthetic is so cool I can get past it.

As a blue Jays guy this year's package is really appealing.

I like the new analog pitching meter and the button menu..

Gonna dig more into it.

Also it works real good with no lag issues on my Portal. This game is perfect for the portal as it doesn't require my constant attention. I think I will get a lot more out of this game this year.

Told myself to wait... but I couldn't. 1st game completed, felt good. I know they said they didn't tweak batting too much, but it feels more finely tuned. I like the new pinpoint movements and how they change depending on pitchers throwing side.

For any Tigers fans out there....Skubal, Carpenter, and Meadows have face scans. Riley Greene and Kerry Carpenter also have new and ACCURATE batting stances. Players faces look so good this year. They definitely stand out. The big huge bushes at Comerica got pruned to a proper size as well, so that's awesome. My only gripe is that I wish AJ Hinch would make himself available for a freaking scan. But I can look past that. Gonna call it a night after one game but I can't wait to dive back in tomorrow. Oh and one more thing, the crowd sounds amazing!

The Jeter storylines thing is actually really awesome. I don't know if they said they're going to add more this year for different players, but I hope they do.

Wasn't going to really check it out tonight but had to check the UI out.

Was not disappointed and worse than I imagined. And the tiles like referenced above. Ouch.

Wonder if they even have any UX on staff?

Only played one quick game. As others said, menus are very hard to read, the font was an intriguing choice.

Lighting looks better and face scans look good.

Hitting seems refined, especially on Hof difficulty. Right now, when you're on a pitch, you know it. Hopefully they don't screw it up with patches.

Gameplay, as always, is solid, though it truly feels like The Show 23.5 rather than 24 to me.

The mound at Citifield looks absolutely horrendous. Forget PS3, it looks like PS1 graphics, no idea what that's all about. Other than that, sure lighting was improved, but it's still not next Gen graphics in my opinion.
