Lol I can’t unsee this. I’ve been paying attention to that and you’re right, I think he hates every uniform in all of sports except like 5 of them.

If it were up to him all teams would only wear wool white and grey uniforms. He’s a great journalist, but it’s absolutely miserable to listen to his takes on new uniforms, he hates everything. Which is funny that he complains about all these new uniforms when he wouldn’t have anything to write about on uniwatch if these didn’t exist and everyone wore the same two uniforms all the time. Thankfully he’s retiring and someone more open minded will be doing the posts on the site.

I can say as a Yankees fan, I am glad they stick to tradition with their uniforms. But, going through a whole season on this game with only white and gray gets incredibly boring.

Are you sure the brown is still considered the main road uniform? Even the one Wikipedia has updated and lists the brown as the alt, which in years prior was the other way around. I also remember hearing that they switched them around from someone else starting this year, but unfortunately I can't find a pic of the Padres' MLB Style Guide from this year to confirm it

The Official Team store has the "Nike Limited" collection tan labeled as "alternate" and brown labeled as "away". The "Authentic" doesn't have the tan listed, but Brown is labeled "road". If the team store and video game, both of whom are likely going by the style guide, I'm inclined to believe them. Though I understand why people would consider the tan the primary road jersey, since they wear it more and it's closer to traditional.

Not sure it works. The Pirates were supposed to get that exception too, and the jerseys are still in the game. But they actually never wore them last year from what I can tell. They wore the hats a few times (first Monday home game of each month), but wore them with their normal white jerseys most of the time, and wore them with their black jerseys once.

Pirates have been a little weird this year too. They didn't wear the camo hat on 4/8 when they were due to by their old schedule. They'd be due to wear it today too, so we'll see. But they've also only the black alt with the gold "P" one time, on April 21 (they wore it 12 times last year). But their other black alternate (black with a black/outlined in gold, cursive "Pittsburgh" 7 times at home (and 10 times on the road) after it being exclusively road jersey previously.

Yeah don’t get me wrong I’m a traditionalist too and prefer when teams keep it that way, but I still think it’s really cool MLB does unique things with their uniforms for the different holidays and a handful of games with these city connects and players weekend. It just makes those games in a long 162 game season a little more special to watch.

Saw that, still with normal jerseys. Definitely seems like, despite still being in The Show, those jerseys have been retired.

Today’s update fixed:
1. Braves navy alt color looks good to me
2. Marlins CC belt fixed to light blue
3. Mets CC helmet partially updated, still missing 3D effects and Queensboro bridge still not added
4. Phillies grey uniform color looks good to me
5. Rays CC pants darkened

If anyone notices any other fixes please post them

Yikes that worries me. They partially updated Mets helmets only. They may not fully fix them at all now.

It could just be the other changes are trickier and just take a little longer but yeah definitely interesting it was just halfway updated

I would say the 3D bridge could be difficult to do. I wish they could at least put it on there though even if it isn’t 3D.

It’s definitely an improvement. Hoping they completely fix it in a future update.

If they only have one template for batting helmets, they might not be able to do the bridge.

It's a thing no team has done before, so the system isn't exactly set up for assets like that.

Very true but no team has ever put anything like that on the caps and they were able to incorporate that into the game.
