Atlanta scored 7 runs off me in the first inning, lol…..so it’s broke. (HOF/default sliders/classic pitching/clean screen).:wink:Comment

Re: MLB The Show 24 Patch #11 - Patch Notes
I thought you were talking about DD, but now realize you meant Dynamic Difficulty lol. Yes it shouldn’t impact current franchises then, and personally I haven’t seen any changes in my franchise for any patch. Just the usual ups and downs throughout the season where I seem to have guys go hot and cold at random.
EDIT: I should note that I haven’t played it much and have been messing around in just the regular exhibition mode a lot. But I will say the confidence issue was very annoying last year (on top of the K issue), so that could definitely be it yet again and most likely is since exhibition hasn’t changed for me.Last edited by MiracleMet718; 06-01-2024, 01:35 PM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 24 Patch #11 Available Today - Patch Notes
For sure, it's the hot streak/confidence system.
I won 10 in a row, then Lance Lynn went down with a dislocated shoulder, so I called up SP Sean Light from AAA. We lost the final game of a 3 game series vs the Angeles, 7-6.
It was such a fun back and forth game like I would expect from a pitcher making his first start at the MLB level. The CPU hasn't scored 7 runs on me in a long time, so it was refreshing to see that. Light was good, but got injured in the 5th inning, so my bullpen was lit up quite a bit with Helsley losing it on a walkoff double.
Back to the top of my rotation who are all on hot streaks so we shall see how it goes.
Since it seems to only affect SPs, maybe a fix would be for all SPs to start with confidence in the middle.
1. SPs on a hot streak, confidence would go up faster during the game depending on how they are doing and down slower if they start off giving up hits/runs.
2. SPs on a cold streak would be the opposite, confidence would go up slower and down faster.
3. SPs who are normal, it would just go up and down at a normal rate.
Hitters have a much more realistic gain/loss arc to them, whereas a pitcher takes much more for them to start to falter once they reach "hot" status.
Just my opinion of course on dynamic difficulty/pinpoint pitching.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 24 Patch #11 Available Today - Patch Notes
After this patch the commentary is all over the place. I had to shut the announcers off. Playing my Pirates franchise: They referred to Oneil Cruz as "Elly De La Cruz", Ke'Bryan Hayes as "she", they said "welcome to game 7 of the world series" during a game in mid june, and a whole lot more ridiculous quips....The commentary has been pretty awful since launch but now it's unbearableComment

I took ball one on the first pitch of an at bat and Boog said "A slow ground ball finds its way through the infield and the count is now 1 ball and no strikes"...... SMHI know im in the second inning and they say we're in extra innings. And They keep referring the pitcher as a she. What the hell is going on

Re: MLB The Show 24 Patch #11 - Patch Notes
So many variables in this game. I’ve had a 5 game winning streak followed by a five game losing streak followed by a 5 game winning streak. I enjoy every win, every loss. I’ve seen nothing to indicate ANYTHING has changed with the gameplay.(HOF/default sliders/classic pitching/clean screen). I’m currently 4.5 out of first. Every game something new.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 24 Patch #11 - Patch Notes
My first 3 series of the season were the Astros, D-Backs, and Blue Jays. 3 offense heavy teams. I gave up more runs than any other team in the league despite going 7-3 during those series. I basically had to slug my way to wins. I then played the Marlins and Guardians and my pitching has given up far less runs. My team ERA has dropped nearly a whole point in those two series. My offense other than a 10 run game in the first game of the Guardians series has also cooled off significantly. That's baseball, and that's how this game is designed. Problem is some people think that every time they hit a hot or cold streak they're mysteriously changing things behind the scenes and not being honest about it. It's kind of annoying to be frank about it.So many variables in this game. I’ve had a 5 game winning streak followed by a five game losing streak followed by a 5 game winning streak.
