My first 3 series of the season were the Astros, D-Backs, and Blue Jays. 3 offense heavy teams. I gave up more runs than any other team in the league despite going 7-3 during those series. I basically had to slug my way to wins. I then played the Marlins and Guardians and my pitching has given up far less runs. My team ERA has dropped nearly a whole point in those two series. My offense other than a 10 run game in the first game of the Guardians series has also cooled off significantly. That's baseball, and that's how this game is designed. Problem is some people think that every time they hit a hot or cold streak they're mysteriously changing things behind the scenes and not being honest about it. It's kind of annoying to be frank about it.

If you look at the real MLB, there are surprises everywhere. Teams thriving that we didn't expect, teams struggling etc. I feel like the unpredictability of The Show is what makes it unique from other sports games, and is more similar to its real life counterpart.

Right. My franchise has all kinds of stuff going on right now that I love. The A's started off hotter than any team in the west for the first week and jumped out to a division lead. Now the Mariners have tied them as they dropped like a rock. Astros and Rangers both struggling and not even in a playoff spot. I'm fighting with the Orioles and Rays. I'm sitting at 12-4 and only have a half game lead. Blue Jays have only won 5 games to start the season despite scoring a ton of runs. The Dodgers have a losing record. The Cubs were favored to win the division but are currently last. All that and I'm just beginning week 3. Can't wait to see how everything shakes out.

What does cap mean? Sorry I'm new to mlb, I have only been playing a week or so and just recently got into the sport.

Different teams at SDS work on different parts of the game. Art team wouldn't be working on Y2Y saves

I'm just giving you a hard time, but.....you bought 23 and Y2Y saves have been gone since 2021.

It left the same time multiple platforms became a thing. I patiently waited for them to get y2y back in the game.

Just lost game 1 of the NLDS to San Diego in 2024 having played all but 5 games. The days of throwing away my franchise are over. The focus in franchise clearly is for simmers and not those who play the games. I'm a hard pass unless and until y2y returns.

No team is working on y2y saves. They also don't patch issues in franchise which is why I stopped submitted bug reports that have existed for years.

Probably right but that assumes the same people will remain in place. I'm perfectly happy playing 23 until then.

Given that no other sports title has attempted to use the Y2Y save feature, I don't think that a new set of developers is going to be any more likely to bring back Y2Y saves than the current ones.

Especially when the game will still be produced by SDS, who have reviewed the data and usage of such a complex feature, and determined it was no longer worth the allocation of time and resources.

Y2Y saves was taken out because it isn't sustainable in the long term. It not being sustainable in the long term is why no other title has attempted it. I put the chance of it ever returning at basically 0. Honestly it's pretty silly to say you'd love to buy the game but won't because they aren't working on Y2Y saves. If you'd love to buy it then buy it. Not buying it won't make them decide to put Y2Y saves back in, I promise.

I honestly found it funny that he bought '23 but won't buy '24. Neither has Y2Y saves.

And its not like every sports title has Y2Y saves. It was great while it lasted.

Don't patch franchise issues? They still haven't fixed the franchise issues from ps3 like bullpen usage/
