No team is working on y2y saves. They also don't patch issues in franchise which is why I stopped submitted bug reports that have existed for years.

they actually patched a franchise issue regarding the Rule 5 draft in the last patch or two.

The gameplay balance of the game is so good. I’ve played 7 games of my current season and have scored 32 runs. I have 2 homeruns on the season.

We are scoring on base hits and sac flies.

Hope they continue to leave gameplay alone, especially hitting and pitching

The gameplay balance of the game is so good. I’ve played 7 games of my current season and have scored 32 runs. I have 2 homeruns on the season.

We are scoring on base hits and sac flies.

Hope they continue to leave gameplay alone, especially hitting and pitching

Hitting is in a great spot, pitching needs work imho. Not the CPU pitching, but human pitching needs more difficulty. I'm having fun for sure over 23, but I want more of a challenge with this Cardinals staff with respect to pitching.

I’m finding pitching to present a significant challenge. I use meter and legend default

I don’t know what my team ERA is this year but my first season we finished with a 4.27 ERA and ranked 24th in pitching

Yea, no way pitching is not challenging if you pitch on legend and max out all cpu hitting sliders. Just gotta find the right balance for you.

Aside from the obvious slider tweaks you could make, have you considered nerfing your pitchers a bit? I’d wager if you really took a deep look you could find a dozen ratings that are way too high.

Just the other day when the Tigers sent Alex Lange down it was brought to my attention what a garbage BB/9 dude had been sporting. I doubled-checked his rating and it was mid-60s. So it’s like, “yeah nah, more like 38 bro.”

Stuff like that can make a big difference.

I’d also throw out there that the Texas Rangers are averaging barely 3 runs per game their last 20. Don’t know what kind of sample size you’re talking about but having a good 20 or even 40 game stretch on the mound does not a season make.

I'm actually finding pitching to be reasonably challenging on default HOF classic. I even have the chevron on fade after playing with the marker off the last several years. I find, especially with certain pitchers, that I frequently miss my spots even with it on fade. I love that.

I appreciate all the responses, I use pinpoint and DD, right now I'm on Legend+ but it does fluctuate a bit here and there.

The last 6 games have been challenging and it's not like I'm blowing out teams game after game, we sit #3 in ERA at 3.06. I just think it's a bit low for an average Cardinals rotation, but I also understand there will be some variance from real life.

I also think our schedule hasn't been all that tough yet, but we are in the middle of a series against the Orioles, which has definitely been harder with respect to pitching.

Maybe this has been discussed, but in franchise you WILL run in to teams that are ice cold at the plate. I just swept the NYY because their entire team is not hitting right now. Couple that with my team pitching has been red hot for 2 weeks and you have a perfect storm. Next game against Detroit, I got lit up immediately in the first 2 innings.

I've found that if you run into a team where most of the players don't have a hot or cold sign next to their name, it's kind of a crap shoot. You could pitch well or you could pitch poorly. If most of them have the cold sign you can cruise pretty easily, if most of them have the hot sign, buckle up because navigating those games isn't going to be easy.

yes indeed. And hot & cold streaks are affecting defense as well. Look at your fielder ratings, they'll fluctuate. I have a defender who's Fielding rating is 89...so a gold and borderline Diamond. On hot icons...I even saw him a 92 ( diamond).....and went down to 87 sometimes on cold streaks.

Pretty cool I think !
