Couldn’t it be that they mean there is crossplay between te Switch and Switch 2?!

I mean why leave the Ps4 behind when the switch isn’t even as powerful as the Ps4?
Just doesn’t make sense if you ask me…

I'm playing 23 still and that aspect of the game is broken but I'm not going to throw away my franchise and start over only to discover the same problem still exists. Then in a year buy mlbts26 to see whether the fixed it.

I don't need anything new. Fix the current game. When everything has been fixed then add something new. Unfortunately community day has been both good and bad We used to have a mange mode fan on this forum who attended community day and got a lot of things fixed. Unfortunately some really bad ideas have also been implemented over the years while major problems still persist.
Community Day has been nothing but a positive for this series.

There may be things that you are frustrated with, just like everyone else, but the bolded comments are completely fallacious.

Possibly I guess, but I think it was worded as "full crossplay", so I doubt it.

Damn, looking like no MVP Edition this year.

Now to decide do I want the physical disc on 3/18 or do I go DD edition so I can play 3/14??

Not necessarily. They could put a legend at the end of the trailer and reveal the MVP edition then.

I agree, I'm sure this was an actuarial decision and they have inside info that people that played on gamepass were less likely to spend money on microtransactions or something like that which made them comfortable with this decision. Knowing that microtransactions are the cash cow in modern sports gaming, not game sales, you'd have to have compelling evidence not to try to get more people who otherwise aren't going to buy the game playing it to hope you get some whales hooked on the predatory microtransaction modes that dominate modern sports games.

But, then again they can always just put it on gamepass if they need to boost microtransaction engagement at a later time. Which is likely to happen.

I have 24 free with PS Plus essential. Will wait for eventual price drop.

Considering that I only do single player offline (I did try an online match once and have no idea how anyone can tolerate the pitcher to batter ball lag / actually disappearing from sight).

Someone with more tech knowledge than me can shut this thought down if needed. But was wondering, what is stopping SDS from going forth with the, we hope, graphics jump with MLBTS25, and the switch is a downgraded version of that new graphics jump? It'll probably look not that great at all but it's the switch, people playing the show on there I think know what they are getting into. Just a thought that I don't know how feasible it is.

I'm in the same boat as you, leave the technical talk to those more knowledgable, but what I've heard others say is its the crossplay between the Switch and the current gen consoles that will affect the current gen. But I dont know, just what I've heard.

Given the news that MS is going to release many of its marquee games like Halo on the PS5, it seems like the writing is on the wall for the future of xbox (ie doa)

MS would not do that if they had complete confidence in the xbox platform. So i wonder if that may have played a role in dropping gamepass.

Not going to do the "console warring" here...but I will say you couldn't be more wrong.

Also real quick, the game isn't skipping the Xbox, it's just not on GP, so you're still free to buy the game, this has absolutely nothing to do with not being "confident in the Xbox platform"..

I will say though, as for your last part, why are other games releasing on GP?

People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I think they should've gone "middle of the road" of sorts for non-console players. Keep it available on Game Pass (Ultimate), but make it purchase only to play instead of part of the catalog. I would've done that.

There will always be a place for Xbox. It is for the costumer who doesn't want to spend $600 on a console in order to play 1-2 games a year.

You just can't beat the $250-$300 price tag to play current gen sports titles.

Microsoft always stated they want to get out of the console business. Their plan has always been to push cloud gaming so that it’s less about the hardware and their games can be accessed much easier. They were the first to push digital only purchases and have been pushing cloud gaming for at least 3-5 years. The only issue was the connection of their users and server space.

And by buying up some of the game studios, it ends up being cheaper for them in the long run.
