Re: MLB The Show 25 Q&A

What are we saying is the baseline rating for K/9? Like what's a 9.0 K/9 worth? 50? Seems really low, no?

Tarik Skubal 10.21 career K/9, they have him at 72.

    Reese Olson 8.50 career K/9, he's a 55.

    Jack Flaherty, 10.22, he's a 68.

So like what, a 56 would a 1K per inning guy? Again, seems obscenely low for that kind of K production.
    Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

It’s because of the DD roster. The special DD cards have higher K/9 (up to 125), so unfortunately the K/9 for the regular players are a bit lower. They. Pile up the K/9 in simming and leave the attributes alone, but until that happens, I raise K/9 for everyone where the top guys are in the 90s and the lowest guys are in the 50s.

In a franchise system, do the teams follow a rotating schedule, or do they play the exact same schedule every year?

Every team plays every other team now so there is no rotation of interleague schedules.

This, but the schedules do change. Meaning when you play each team differs each season. It’s not just a repeat of the 2025 season calendar.

Yeah you don't have to restart.

For face scans, if added via patch yes you don't have to restart.... But if they do face scans via roster updates again like last year, then yes you would have to start a new Franchise with that roster update.

Really? I wasn't aware of that, or I don't remember.

Yes, if they add face scans via the roster update those updates don't carry over to already started Franchises.

Hopefully they do all the face scan updates via patch this year, that way everyone gets them.

I'm playing a 30 team Franchise and I have a profiled assigned to the other 29 teams to have Lineups and Pitching Rotations to "Auto" however, I keep getting notifications every day for minor league teams with incomplete lineups or rotations that I have to keep skipping. Am I overlooking a setting that for some reason I keep getting these notifications?

It wouldn’t matter if it’s a patch or not, it has to be tied to the player ID in the roster. CAP made players have different player IDs than the SCEA players, so when a CAP player gets a real scan, a different ID has to be used since it can’t just be overwritten.

Hard to say without looking at your settings, but having the CPU teams on a separate profile than yours, with their lineups set to auto, should fix that problem. is everything set to auto for the CPU profile?
