Not sure if this is technically a bug or just lack of programming but the CPU-controlled teams can still option veterans with 5+ years service time to the minors whenever they feel like it without designating them for assignment and passing them through waivers. User-controlled team cannot.

I do have 30 team control on but everything set to Auto besides lineups and rotations for the other teams. Which may or may not play a part.

As of right now the CPU isn’t bound by that rule so they can still send players down without recourse.

Hopefully in the near future that will be corrected

I noticed this pre-launched and have did several bug 🐛 reports bur 8 patches later and this is still broken not displaying the pitchers PITCH TYPES at the end of the game.
It's showing last pitcher used pitch types and even on the opposite team.

We used to be able to go under PITCHER ANALYSIS go under each team use D-PAD and cycle thru teams pitchers used and it would always display the correct data like

PITCH TYPE
PITCHES THROWN
STRIKE %

Again now it will show the last pitcher used PITCH TYPE on left but your starters PITCH THROWN # and STRIKE %.

When u cycle thru pitchers BOTH teams it will still only show last pitcher used.

not sure if this bug has been mentioned. But when a rookie gets his first hit, the commentary announces the first hit by the player who is batting after the rookie in the order.

eg - i got Zac Veen's first hit in the opening series Vs tampa in tamp. and Schiambi says and there's the first career hit for "Ezekiel Tovar" who's batting after him.

i replayed the game several times, and it doesn't matter who's batting after him, either.

In RTTS, I had a challenge to get on base, which I did but the CPU pinch ran for me.
It caused the challenge to fail as it saw the pinch runner as the one who "got on base" and saw me as not getting on base

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already but I noticed that catchers do not set up well on outside breaking pitches leading to many wild pitches.

Wondering if others are seeing it too.

It’s not just outside pitches, it’s pitches down as well. They tweaked it a bit, but they need to tweak it further. I’m fine with it if I throw it away, but pitches that should easily be caught were going to the backstop. Now they are at least being blocked more.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not a bug, just that they either haven't yet recorded or haven’t uploaded the full player names in and will most likely do it later on. I’d assume Campbell will come first since he’s actually in the MLB and the other ones will come if they get a chance since they are either not expected to make the MLB or won’t make it for some time. Although I guess the “bug” is that we can’t override them, but I think that’s by design for these players since they do have audio attached to it, even though it’s only the MiLB and/or PA announcers.

Yes it seems that they changed it after all. It’s funny because the MiLB announcer and Alex Miniak both pronounced his name without making an edit, it was just Boog, Brooks-Moon, and Roberson that didn’t have it recorded.

Hopefully it works for all so I don’t have to import CAPs anymore.

Couple of bugs. First is the Ohtani bug. Ohtani is always starting pitcher if he is in the batting lineup. I cant start any other pitcher.

Second is there appears to be a duplicate LF slot in the Athletics roster in Exhibition mode. Any one confirm that?

Reported the Guess Pitch bug again since they didn’t actually fix it in the last patch anyway.

Man, just ran into the dreaded bug where you're stuck on the pause menu with no controller input after leaving the bullpen. I remember for years there was a bug if you used the manager menu to warm up pitchers and bring them in they would come in with part of their stamina missing and confidence in the tank and I was told the workaround was to just pause the game and warm up and change pitchers that way. Now in this years game that kills your game outright as you can't ever regain control when this bug strikes. Brutal.

Reported the Guess Pitch bug again since they didn’t actually fix it in the last patch anyway.

To me, this is absolutely game breaking. Like it’s bad enough that in past years they give you a bad PCI half the time when using it, but now the location is just completely off. Ruins my timing, ruins my strikeout rate. This is demoralizing.

I have bad enough hand eye coordination as is, but now I can’t even play one of the few games I actually care about. And it’s probably worse for people who have worse disabilities.

There was no reason to change guess pitch at all.

I don’t know if you would consider it a bug but almost every game I play Boog says how my team struggled to score runs with traffic on the bases regardless of how many runs I scored in the previous game.

So annoying.

Yeah it's a bug. But I turned off commentary as I tend to do every year at some point.
