A month in and 3B coaches still are stuck in jackets. Seriously have no idea how this even happened since 3B coaches have been jacket-less in every other version of The Show.

My only theory is they wanted to put HS/college coaches in jackets which is still incredibly rare in real life but in doing so changed the coding for all 3B coaches in the game.

That people were calling this out in one of the very first live streams and it’s been ignored is insane to me. Surely it can’t break the entire game to fix this.

That people were calling this out in one of the very first live streams and it’s been ignored is insane to me. Surely it can’t break the entire game to fix this.

Few things here:

1) it’s not being ignored

2) there are higher priority fixes that trump whether a NPC is or isn’t wearing a jacket

3) it’s not a simple fix as you are wanting it to be. There is a reason why fake managers, hitting coaches and pitching coaches have worn jackets in this game for the past several years. The fact that this bug/glitch affects only 3rd base coaches, always affects fake coaches and real coaches when temperature below a certain threshold means that there is something unique that is triggering this to occur.

Also if we’re being honest, most people who play don’t care. It will get fixed once the other more important bugs get patched, but it doesn’t impact the game itself so it goes further back on the list.

Man, just ran into the dreaded bug where you're stuck on the pause menu with no controller input after leaving the bullpen. I remember for years there was a bug if you used the manager menu to warm up pitchers and bring them in they would come in with part of their stamina missing and confidence in the tank and I was told the workaround was to just pause the game and warm up and change pitchers that way. Now in this years game that kills your game outright as you can't ever regain control when this bug strikes. Brutal.

Yep I'm getting this one every couple of games now, too. Awesome!

My franchise season is in mid-May and the Rays had a Rule 5 pick reliever on their roster with zero innings pitched. He was never hurt and on the IL at any point. He's just hanging out and eating sunflower seeds, I guess.

And because the CPU has some sort of infatuation with a 5 man bench, the Rays had been effectively going with 6 relievers for god knows how long. Amazing.

Two times in two days I had the game freeze on me. Both instances happened in the late innings as I went to use a pinch hitter. After I selected my hitter the game froze on me at the pause screen. Weird thing was the players were still moving. My batter was still wagging his bat back and forth in his stance but I was stuck on the pause screen. Had to restart the game both times and lost my franchise progress.

are you accessing the quick menus from dpad, or are you pausing and going in the long way thru pause menus?

bcos i use d-pad and in about 7 games with the new patch i haven't had it lock up once. not the bullpen or pinch hitting ... and i use them both every game.

I’m using the menu. I think I didn’t least I don’t really remember. I will use the dpad though because this is killin me. Hopefully that works, thank you

The manager options for pitching does not work. Brush backs does not work nor do any of the options to select pitch location. Submitted a bug report

bcos i use d-pad and in about 7 games with the new patch i haven't had it lock up once. not the bullpen or pinch hitting ... and i use them both every game.

I have seen multiple people say to use the D-pad to access the bullpen. I used to do this all of the time in previous versions of the game (up on the D-pad). So much so that I still press up every time I want to go to the bullpen in this year's game, but instead am taken to a pitch analysis screen. When I looked up the control guide in the menu, it says "right" on the D-pad brings up the bullpen and "left" brings up substitutions. However, neither of those seem to work for me. Up will bring up the pitch analysis. Down will bring up a quick shift menu, but left and right do nothing when I hit them. Am I doing something incorrect? Do I need to make sure an option in my settings is on or something?

ohhh. i'm not sure man. i'm xbox x series, and dpad left and right for subs and bull pen have worked every time for me.

could your controller be the problem?

Which mode is this in? The D-pad method doesn’t work in moments, but it works in every other mode.

I definitely tried it in an Exhibition game after I looked up the control guide this afternoon. I am pretty sure at times in franchise I had hit multiple directions of the D-pad after trying "up" like it used to be at least a couple of years ago. I am playing on a PS5 if that matters and I do have a mostly clean screen (the only thing I have show during the game is the pitch selection for when I am pitching), so I don't know if an option I might have turned off for that did something to affect it. I can try later in Franchise Mode.
