I just lost. This was my first time so I will try again and do it differently. I didn't read through this thread but I think I have a good idea of what to do now. I was pissed because I lost my last game on 2 errors both of which were routine. I wish I could mess with the sliders for this mode.

Just the strongholds. However, there will come a point where you have a ton of fans and can just simulate each tile easily. Is a good idea so you can create a bigger territory and protection for yourself.

I am almost done the mode and have every tile overtaken except a small northeast portion I am working on. I have 6-7 more strongholds to conquer and they are all Blue Jays except for one. Blue Jays overtook the whole east coast almost.

I'd like to finish this mode this weekend. I have all the Strongholds west of the Mississippi conquered. I have almost all of of the map territories except Florida and a few spaces around the remaining strongholds.

When I first started, any games I played were on All-Star. As you gain more fans and move them you can lower the difficulty. Once I got over 50 million fans I skipped the Capture phase. With the amount of fans I have now it is very easy to overpower other strongholds and play them on Rookie.

Started getting the hang of this mode the other night. I have a lot of spaces on the West coast and I have conquered Seattle and San Diego. I have like 60M fans now, question on strong hold though - How many more do I have to have to play on rookie? So far it's only been vet.

I skip every phase as well and just play stronghold. I did lose my original strong hold, but I guess as long as I have one, it's fine?

I believe you have to have 4x the fans to play on rookie.

Is anyone else encountering a lot of errors? I've lost 4 games now because of routine plays resulting in an error. I need to learn how to strike out batters more. I have pretty good fielders too. The last one that cost me, Justin Upton just watched the ball go right by him.

I'm a bit confused - I was able to roll with like 80 million fans and could take on strongholds. Now I am only like at 40-55M. What am I doing wrong now and how do I take care of Houston?

I'm about to their 32 million with my 57on vet. So that should help.

I finished not too long ago. I am pretty sure I finished in less than 30 turns. In my two aborted attempts and my completed one I never had to defend a stronghold at all.

On the reward side I got my guaranteed silver of Todd Frazier, who I already had. I think the 10 packs netted me 1 silver player (Kyle Seager), one piece of gold equipment and one gold sponsorship.

I just finished all strongholds and redeemed my 10 free packs. I received a diamond Nike Vapor 360 glove.

Not sure if I am going to fill in the entire map with my fans since I've basically completed the mode. Can't think of any reason to do it other than ultimate dominance.

Can you walk me through how you did this? It feels like it takes me so many turns just to be able to attack a stronghold

I am not an expert but step one in my opinion is getting territories. I'd put all my reinforcements and move players to one territory. I would then send it marching through the territories, making sure to not get myself cornered. If you don't have a attack move then the turn will end so plan your path so you have plenty of room to put all of your fans to work. For example if you have 10 million fans in a territory and you have no place to attack then you have cheated yourself out of potentially gaining 9 more territories.


I have never had any team attack my strongholds so I emptied them out in the move phase so that I could use those fans to grab more territory. More territory gets you more reinforcements which allows you to grab more territory. You should always gain more territory than you lose during attack rounds.


Ignore the strongholds at the beginning. I circled around most strongholds while grabbing territory, and did not worry about them in early rounds. Later when you have most of the map covered you will have so many reinforcements you can easily stack 99 million fans into the attacking square and play stronghold games on rookie.


Just as an aside, I simmed almost every attack phase game and skipped almost every capture phase.

I am almost done - it's just me completing some strongholds. CPU isn't even moving anymore. I have all territories except the occupied strongholds.

Wow, thank you for all of the advice. So I should just not worry about having more than 1 million in my stronghold, barricade it, and then just circle around the other strongholds until I'm ready to attack them?
