Re: What are you working on?

It would be really great if they created an app or added the ability to complete and redeem collections on the website. I would also love to be able to look at what collections and missions I have still to complete.

Anyway, semi-long rant aside, I am working on the Royals epic now that I have the collection completed. I am also working on finishing hardware stats, need like 10 or so HR and a few RBI for it. About 20 walks away from VI stats as well. Any stubs I get are being saved to get Stanton to complete Miami team collection and start their epic.

I have only been playing online for about a month. I don't really have many diamonds. I got Kimbrel, Corey Seager, and Betts right out the gate. I sold Seager and Betts to get players from my apba team.....lol then decided later I was going to actually do some missions.

I now have MadBum because I pulled him out of a 20 pack. I have 25 for all teams, but, not much more than that.

I like it, but, I wish you could do everything against the CPU. I don't find online against other players to be fun at all. Internet will always make things unequal, but, there are just too many people cheesing their way thru.

I should mention I am a little hesitant on getting Goldy because I can not hit for power with All Star Goldy. I think his swing or animation is broken. There are times where I can not catch up to a fastball with him. I can hit for average all right. Just tons of singles.

I am gonna be awfully mad if I get the diamond and I can't hit with it!

If you're going to pay 70k for a live series first baseman get Joey Votto. He's the best live series 1B and it's not even close. He's probably a top 3 1B on the entire game.

I would also advise you to avoid team epics because locking players in isn't really a great strategy anymore unless your team is an absolute juggernaut. With all the content they're releasing and new players coming all the time it's better to have stub flexibility so you can constantly upgrade instead of being stuck.

For example, I did the Mets epic a week before they released the Brooks Robinson program. Now I use Brooks instead of David Wright, so I basically locked in 120k worth of stubs for absolutely nothing. The team epic rewards really just aren't worth their cost anymore when compared to what you can just buy off the market or get from programs.

The only time I would advise doing collections is if you know 100% that you're going to complete every team for 99 Ted Williams. Otherwise do not do it, you'll end up with a lot of regrets.

Re: What are you working on?

It's more of a Goldy is one of my favorite players kind of thing. I don't care about having a super good team. I can beat the computer on All Star with a pretty crappy team most of the time as long as the fastballs aren't unhittable.

I am sure I am going about things all wrong and not in the best way. Never really did anything with cards other than selling them to pay for double points in RTTS.

I am close on a few missions, but, other than beating Conquest 3 times I haven't really finished any other ones. Close on quite a few.

I did play a strange 26 inning game last night vs CPU on veteran. One of those games where the fastballs were by me before I could swing and if I did guess right and hit one fair it was a swing and miss or pop up. I was gonna play one game and watch a show....so much for that idea...lol

I would post pics, but, I am not sure how to do that.

I had a whole night of that a few nights ago. Late on everything, vs. CPU or human, no matter how early I thought it was. I was even terrible in batting practice. I finally just chalked it up to being tired and called it a night, and I was back to hitting normally the next day. Reaction time is so important in this game that if you're in less than ideal condition, it's probably going to affect your gameplay pretty severely.

Anyway....got All-Star Waino and I just have the flashback mission for All-Star Felix. Unfortunately I'm running out of options for easy flashbacks with just 4 more to go. The rest are going to either require some grinds or paying out the nose for them on the marketplace. Ticket store is a bit of a crapshoot, but I might be able to snag a couple there too. EDIT: Got him! AND 94 Brock too for Dynasty program progress! Ticket store method was faster than anticipated - those bronze flashbacks cycle through fast.

I'm up to the Buddy Bell mission on the Rangers epic so I'll probably have Kinsler soon too.

I also have the Ozzie Smith Daily available so I'm excited for the next event when I'll actually be able to do that mission and work toward the card.

One more..... 3 RBI away from Breakout Griffey. REALLY want to get this done in the Stripes season.

I had another 18 inning game the next night. The thing is these things can change in the blink of an eye. I think the game is inconsistent. I had a game where I was struggling thru 6 innings. Tie score 0-0. Got a phone call. Came back later and I finished the game with 14 runs. I didn't do anything different. My guys swings were faster and I wasn't late on anything any more. I am not sure if it is an issue with my PS4 or what the deal is. It doesn't just affect hitting either. These are always the games where my pitchers are throwing wildly and missing spots by 2 feet. Fielders making weird decisions.

I think the only way I could prove it is to have someone here when things are rough and see what they do. None of my friends really play this game though because it is too hard.

Focusing on the two Legends programs along with finishing up the Harware mission in the Diamond Program. Those complete game & complete game shutout missions are going to take a while to finish unless you play vs the CPU on rookie or veteran.

Just a heads up that you can do the CG/CGSO in conquest. It was surprisingly fun playing through the mode again while grinding out the Guidry program.

There should finally be some new Conquest missions early next week as well, something to look out for. Apparently should unlock a former MVP, so who knows (probably someone rubbish like Justin Morneau, but you never know, more conquest missions is a win in itself)

From this point on, I would guess the very best "end game" kind of cards will only be released via BR 12-0 reward or in a pack.

Program rewards and mission rewards are just nice things that people can attain if they don't already have a super team at every position and/or didn't want to spend extra money.

Yep. I don't see myself getting them either way because how the heck am I gonna win 12 games in a row when I can't even win 5 games of Ranked seasons in a row

2 more doubles vs CPU for the Buddy Bell mission and then Kinsler. After that I'm pretty well set until I get a lot more stubs for Bryant.

I'm working on a few player epics right now and finishing up the Pirates and Twins team epics. I have all programs 100% complete now except for Griffey and the Dynasty program. I'm at 83% in the Dynasty program now. Got Miggy yesterday and finished Brooks Robinson yesterday.

IMO 12-0 is the hardest feat to get in the game by far. I've hit 12-1 once, and have hit 10 and 11 several other times.

When I see a 12-0 nameplate I know I'm usually about to get f'd with no vaseline.
