Really enjoying Altuve tbh, didn't think I would as since the patch there's no way he's going to hit any homers, but he's so quick on the bases he just seems to constantly get triples. He's quicker going round the bases than anyone I've used, maybe it's just a visual thing because he's a midget, but he seems to be able to take an extra base at will, tag up on any fly ball and just get away with it. Very slappy swing as well which seems t get a lot of gappers

As of Sunday I couldn't see myself getting further in the season monster so I decided to do the gold conquest missions and my conquest related player epics.

Currently working on:

All-Star Jimenez
All Gold Conquest Missions (Just 4 K's from 91 CC)
93 Kinsler (Can't remember his program)
All-Star Ken Griffey Sr. - This one really sucks, whenever my Reds get up I wait for 2 strikes, if it's 3-2 I only swing if it's right down the middle. Really sad Mission.

Although now that the new season is about to start, not sure when I'll be going back to these. I can't stand playing the computer, so boring.

I got demolished in RS, I can't put my finger on it but I honestly think I need better players so last night I went back on the conquest grind. Finished AS Jimenez Player Epic, Finished Breakout Catfish Hunter, 1 2B Double away from Kinsler Player Epic, 3 HR from allstar goldsmidt, 3 Hardware doubles from Soto, and like 15 hits from Breakout Rendon. Just by luck I finished the AL command missions together so I got the opportunity to trade in AL players for the 93 Granderson....holy cow that power. Was not expecting that. Does anyone know who the NL player trade in reward is?

Seager and Correa are similarly rated, and both have same rating. Seager is significantly more expensive. I hit fine with Correa, but Seager bats like Barry Bonds for me so if it's a toss up I always go Seager. I also think Seager has better quirks than Correa (Mainly the breaking ball quirk)

Working on team epics, what a grind on some of these. I have Tampa's gold going, Pitt's gold, Minnesota gold, Texas gold, and Philly gold all going at the same time. Gonna go after San Diego silver while I work on these golds.

I just wish Buddy Bell would remember how to hit doubles since I knocked 3 in his first 8 AB, now he has nothing but singles and homers in his last 50+ AB...patience is not my strong suit sometimes.

50 hits with Brantley, 30 with Reynolds and 30k's with keuchal are the goals at the moment, as well as trying to knock out some QS and 3 inning saves for my career goals. Pretty tedious

Been taking a break from the game for a few days but currently working on Hanley, Felix and Sandberg programs. Hanley and Felix almost done. Just need to finish off assists with Hanley and stats with Felix. Also finishing up Drabek program. Need less than 20 strikeouts and 6 more Breakout wins.

NL player is a 93 OVR Matt Holliday - Cardinals. I can't hit with him for some reason..

Before I stopped playing(I'm sure I'll get sucked back in) I had just finished Oswalt and was mainly focusing on the June POTM stats to get the Bellinger card. Of course needing 12 HR seems impossible now. You wouldn't think so with 90+ power against both sides Sanchez but dude was just singles hitter for me. 0 HR in 13 games before I stopped.

96 Reyes is an animal and I highly suggest. 97 speed and upper 90s vision switch hitter with great defense and his in game pop is more than his stats. 3 homeruns in 25 at bats with 9 total extra basehits for me so far.

What are you working on?

I'm trying to get through all the silver team epics right now. I'm stuck on getting two doubles with Rookie Cliff Floyd for the Nationals & 3 wins with Rookie Max Scherzer. I have 0 double with Floyd. I can't hit with him at all. My first game using him I hit line just off the top of the wall at Minute Maid Park. Then I just haven't gotten to use Scherzer at all. I'm just waiting to finish the Ramirez & Sandberg Programs. Then I'll start focusing more on the Diamond Program. Only thing I have left to do on that collect all Juniors, the two missions that require Breakout Griffey & the match stats from 1997 using Hardware players.

Nice to have some new play v computer missions, I was hoping for Conquest missions but this will do I suppose. They're top of my list of things to do now, while grinding the hits for Brantley and Austin Jacskon for the Indians and Tigers epics.

In the grander scheme of things, I'm down to just 3 players left to complete the whole league. Luckily Josh Donaldson has just gone and got downgraded to a much less rare 92 as well so should come down in price significantly, whereas Zach Britton looks like being traded so I might not even need to even buy him to complete the Orioles. That just leaves Betances who isn't super expensive and is really toying with getting downgraded to gold with his terrible walk numbers. All in all, things are looking very good on the collection front.

If you're playing the 9 inning cpu games just put Scherzer in for the final out in the 5th if you're up and he'll get the win if you hold on for the victory. It might be a cheap way of doing it but it's better than waiting a tonne of games before he's the selected starter.

Got back to WS today with an 18-7 record. Need 22 more wins for 90% in dynasty program.

I think I might just take a long break but I kind of want to try for the 1000s.

Working on Franchise mode. Giving up on Ranked Seasons until they fix the hitting and lazy animations costing me wins.

I've made the WS the first 2 seasons. Since then made it to CS last season and haven't gotten past 750 this season.
