I can't be the only one who will stop at second when I could have had a triple just because of missions requiring doubles.

Working on Utley, finished Dynasty, have Ramirez, Oswalt, Hernandez, Sandberg, all POTM, grinding Griffey, and finishing Joe Random to get the 99 Pujols.

Definitely, did it all the time. Same for inside the park homers where I'd deliberately just stop at 3rd for the triple.

Currently doing those new All Star offline missions and getting incredibly annoyed watching Buddy Bell hit doubles for fun, just to taunt me.

Re: What are you working on?

I'm down to the single game mission on Sandberg. I'm doing that while doing the AS missions vs every team CPU. I'm over 20 games with rookie Sandberg now. It's getting comical how I miss by just one hit or a run or a double. I accidentally hit a home run with him. Then I started playing at Forbes. Sandberg is a atomball machine. I hit him second. I tried rookie, which seemed to make it worse. I loaded my lineup with Diamond high vision fleet footed hitters. This is becoming a quest. Felix Hernandez single game I did it first shot on AS vs Boston. No problem. Sandberg went a dozen games without getting a extra base hit. Ubaldo Jimenez had 2 doubles during that stretch.

The last game I hit a long fly ball for a two run double with Sandberg his first at-bat. Then a solid single up the middle in the 2nd inning. all I needed now was a single. This is at Chicago White Sox on veteran. 0-4 the rest of the way. Including lining one off the pitcher right to the first baseman for an out. So while this doesn't seem as bad as the single game missions with walks, it's been worse for me.

Re: What are you working on?

I'm working on the All-Star missions offline and find that the hitting is a mess offline as well as online. So many at"me balls, weak pop-ups, and liners. Seems everytime I get a guy on first I hit into a DP and stealing with really fast guys is almost impossible. Last time I played offline on veteran or rookie I was scoring double digits easy and with a worse team. Now it's like 6-7 hits a game 2-4 runs. I'm winning easy but I'm not accumulating the stats quickly.

I tried to balance my team equally with AL and NL guys but it seems my NL batters get the stats and my AL pitchers do well

Asdrubal Cabrera Indians has been huge pickup for me. Seems to get lots of extra base hits and isn't someone who clogs the basepaths. He's relatively cheap too.

I did end up completing the Sandberg mission 2 games after I posted on here. I led him off and hit the pitcher 7th with two speed guys at 8 & 9.

Finally completed the ultimate, hardest mission on the game.

On a less important note, now just need Zach Britton to complete the collections

I know right? What do I spend it on? Buy a bunch of smaller players or blow it all on a superstar?

These 30 hits with Austin Jackson is getting right up there with Buddy Bell as my most tedious mission. Dude is trash. Not helped by me playing on All Star to get these missions done, but he's leading off hitting .260, it's just going to take forever. 5 homers with Edwin isn't happening any time soon either

Been grinding like hell for Utley. Took a PTO day from work today and spent a good amount of time doing that. Have 9 games left to play. AL East, AL West and NL Central are completely done. Very very close to having AL and NL stats done. Then just need to do the 50 AS player exchange and Utley is mine!

Made a crapload of stubs today from finishing a few My Career missions.

                                Finished Texas team epic.

Working on San Diego 2 of 3 HR done for McCovey, Pitt still has 36 or so innings left on Drabek, 16 or so K's left on Garza for TB, 14 or so innings left on Hughes for Minnesota, and working on getting a 2b in conquest for Kinsler Detroit epic. All while accumulating VI, Hardware, and Allstar stats.

Just going through conquest mode for the 4th time while I do this, so I cycle through pitchers and games fast.
