How do you hit home runs with 1999 Beltran? No matter what I do, it's a single

The 10 stolen bases were my issue. Is there another Will Clark besides the rookie? He's one of my favorite players ever & I love his swing.

Same issue here, trying to play CPU teams on Rookie that have LHP starters since he has power from the right side...still haven' hit one with him. Dropped a bomb with Clark in his first AB, lol.

I hit 4/5 left handed last night, I was pretty proud of myself.

Be the road team, bat Beltran lead off against the Yankees. Play his first at-bat and then quit. Rinse and repeat until you hit the homers. If you hit a single, steal 2nd and 3rd and then quit. It's the best way to get ABs quickly.

Having a surprising amount of difficulty getting 2 runs with live series Profar, was super frustrated when I scored right away in the first with him, then hit a "good" timing high change up just foul in his last AB...I swear if I hit another good timing foul ball, I may rage quit.

Are you starting him on the bench and using him as pinch runner for the first run? then he has to rest of the game to just get on base, then maybe have your best two hitters on the bench ready to pinch hit after him and drive him in if need be.

Getting the walks for the IV Ramirez program has been frustrating. Stuck on 11 , got 6 in my lineup but the cpu refuses to walk any of my IV players but can't throw strikes to my other two hitters and pitcher. Playing on HoF and working the counts but the cpu just paints the corner perfectly or gets the blown call in their favour.

I'll try that strategy, I haven't done that yet. So far, just batting him leadoff.

I got this done playing on Veteran. and having a good hitter 7th and an IV 8th helped. I think I played IV hitters 1 to 3, then 6 to 8 in my lineup with a power hitter 8th so the CPU would walk him if I had a runner on 2nd with 2 outs. Took a while, honestly all I did with my 6-8 hitters was take every pitch. Didn't care what the outcome of the game was.

Play on Veteran or All Star. Don't swing until you have two strikes on you. I did that with 6 of the 9 batters in my lineup being IV players. I already had 12 walls without trying got the other 15 in 3 games.

Now that the new event is underway I need to figure out how to get my 2 switch hitters in the lineup a couple of hits so I can start the Ozzie Smith epic.

I'm going to push for the big rewards in this event too - I feel like I've got a decent team for it. Probably not the streak rewards, but at 3 innings I should be able to grind out the wins.

I started off with an eight game winning streak & then lost on a ground ball the pitcher decided not to field. I should get the top accumulative award pretty easily.
