What are you working on thread

It's nice when you legit got five starters to grind with. Been a while since I didn't have to spend 50% of my time restarting!


Rookie Gibson is great for getting Ks for bronze/silver legend SPs, any recommendations of others?

Pretty sure I have seen posts that mentioned how terrible the gold Johnny bench card is. +1 to that. It's truly the very worst

It's comically easy to get strikeouts on rookie with every gold and diamond pitcher....except immortal when trying to go for his csgo 17k mission [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

Getting hits with the gold wasn't too bad but getting extra base hits was an absolute nightmare. The diamond Bench makes the frustration worth it though.

Gold bench is awful. Diamond Bench is better but his 2 missions are brutal. I started Barry Larkin the Frank Thomas missions after Bench. I’ve already unlocked Immortal Ripken and I’m almost done with Thomas but still plugging away at Bench

Knocked out both of Diamond Babe Ruth's single game missions. Couldn't hit a home run with him for quite awhile, but got one in my 3rd AB of the most recent game, then got hits in my 4th and 5th at bats to finish it off. Definitely feeling lucky because I thought it would take longer. All that's left to unlock the Immortal Babe is to grind out these 200 innings! I'm at 38, so a long way to go haha

Hitting a wall with this game for a couple reasons:

1. Content is already end game. I like the Immortals, but I honestly wish you could only choose to do like 3 Immortals MAX. Sounds crazy but at least you would see some variety of teams. I have 7 Immortals in my lineup...no longer can build my team.

2. Game play is average. Hit variety is lacking big time. Too many HR's and not enough base hits. The OF's are too fast. Base runners are too fast. PCI moves too fast...should have a sensitivity slider. Analog pitching is bugged as hitting the meter perfect still results in balls being hung. Fielding animations have issues. The power meta needs to go.

3. What am I playing for? Getting 900 vs 1200 gets no additional reward in Ranked Seasons. The event rewards, outside of Gagne, have been cards that can't even help your lineup in RS.

I had a blast with the show and got every cent worth out of use. But when Madden drops I'm not sure I play this game any longer...

pretty much in the same boat. I'll see if I can get to 1000 just because, but otherwise I might just rip open packs until the september games come around

Almost done with Bench to unlock Piazza
Almost done with Thomas to unlock Pujols
Almost done with the first CC Diamond mission
Almost done with Fingers

Jumped back to Duke Snyder forgot that I never finished Robles. I can’t seem to get 3 hits 1 R 1 RBI in the same game. Shouldn’t be hard but it’s taking me forever. The bronze Duke hit 3 HRs in the first game. Hope that’s an indication of how good his Diamond card will be. Grinding stats with CF much easier than Catchers

I agree with all of this. 2 is the most important. Gameplay gets stale pretty quick because of those things. Total lack of hit variety. Homer or bust is lame.

Oh and gold Bench is trash.

I apparently fully grinded for Larkin while grinding for my CAP, lol. All I need to do is get the stolen bases by diamond/gold SS (****) and I can get it pretty easily.

Too bad I'm like never going to use it, but maybe Larkin/CAP C is better than CAP SS/Bench

Made Jackie mine, Babe is 2 games away, and Diamond Bench is 4 XBH away (Aka 4 months)

I also apparently need to learn new baserunning controls because it feels like 2/5 of the time, I tell my player to steal, and the bitch don't move

and I still do not understand why stealing bases on rookie is as arduous as it is

The last RS game I played, and 1st with Jackie, was against the #3 RS guy who has played like 400 games. Jackie was really impressive. He had two hits including a HR off his SP Felix (RHP). I actually put Jackie in LF and had my CAP at 2B. I think I'm going to max out my CAP at C and move Jackie back to 2B and then get whatever good LF I can find. Babe doesn't seem like something I'll be able to knock out. I am sitting on like 120k stubs and I could easily sell my way to 250k to pick up a LF.

Side note: I'm like one tier below the top tier RS guys. I just can't stop them from blasting HR's. I gave up 7 H and 6 solo HR...lost 6-3. I miss too many pitches over the middle and it's an automatic HR.

Yeah his immortal card is pretty awesome, finally a card worth using. In years past he was just Altuve with no power and a knack for always hitting it weakly or right at people
