Yeah I keep asking myself that too. I thought this immortal thing was a horrible idea from the get go so Im not surprised that I keep finding myself asking what to do once I finish the ones Im going for. Theres no way to make my team better once I do and it kinda kills the mode.

Exactly. I can't improve my team, but also what would I do with it? Play online against other immortal teams in the dumpster fire that is online on this game? No ta. It's at the point where I really don't know why I'm doing any of this tbh.

But on the plus side, I just sold a daily mission silver Phillies hat for 6500 stubs, bafflingly. That's more than any gold player on the game is worth and a pretty damning indicator of what this game has become all about.

This ruined EA HUT....an already flawed game. In NHL 18 HUT by February everyone had teams rated 95-99 and I lost all incentive to improve my team. Funny thing is if you did play a team with much lower rated players they seemed to gain a magic boost and a guy with 88 speed would be twice as fast as your 99 speed guy. I suspect we will see similar issues as it is some gold and silver cards play better than diamonds...

I think I just liked building my team and then playing against randoms. As much as I hate playing online sometimes, it IS the reason I keep going back to it. Playing the CPU can be a drag and I really love playing against a live human because I like seeing if I can pick up tendencies and whoop *** over time. That's my muse though.

But yeah....once September rolls around, it's probably a GG for me then

I also agree with you though. I think its stupid to put them in the game, but since they did, they probably ccould have put them out earlier, definitely not later.

The introductions of tons of 99 overalls in all other ultimate team type modes are exactly what has driven me away from them.

Been trying to hit a triple with Dee Gordon so I can finish Marlins team epic for a couple days. Cant do it. I just hit a triple with Jake Arrietta though, because its easier to hit a triple with a pitcher than it is with a high contact/no power guy.

I messed up so bad. I'm on the trail of the Trout, and I've got over 420K in the bank. I put all my bankroll into a bid for the elusive Fishman, but within minutes I was outbid by several other people. I realized it's going to take more than that to catch this whopper. So I canceled my bid and started hunting for cards to flip. Check back awhile later and I see three Trouts got sold very quickly for below market value, including one to a bidder who was below me when I had my bid in. If I would have just let my bid sit there, I'd have the Fishman...but he continues to elude me and I'm filled with a deep dark shame. Brutal.

Update...I've landed the Fishman! I sold Gagne to get some extra stubs to up my bid. He ended up costing me 433K, which is more than I would've gotten him for earlier, but less than I thought I'd have to pay originally. I'm only 10K away from reacquiring Gagne and completing my team until another Indians legend drops, but who knows if that will even happen or when. So pumped!

I also landed Trout for 434,000. My brain told me to wait until the end of the stub sake and let his price dip below 400,000 again but I’m no longer saving up for anything just grinding so i did it.

I was also curious to ask you guys that use zone hitting. do you place your left thumb at the bottom of the joystick or on the center?

I feel like I've been hitting better on center (Using thumb to cover the center). used to control the wheel from the very bottom

Went like 3-2 tonight with my stacked lineup. I just hung a couple that were hit out. Then I lose a game 4-2 when I outhit them 10-5. Some really lame base running stuff and a couple bad animations killed me.

Still got up to CS...not sure I'll even mess with going for WS or not.

Unlocked Nen today...might be done grinding for a while!

Usually just bottom, but if I notice im over-moving it, Ill adjust and cover the center with it. Gives me better control, or maybe im just being more focused when I do it.

Yes but I thought that’s because they match you with better ranked players the higher your rating mod is. If that is the case I don’t agree with it because simply having a team of studs doesn’t make you stud....trust me I know lol.
The purpose of DD is to build a great team and compete so don’t punish us for having a good team simply match people based on ranking. I would rather have a good competitive fun game and lose than roll over my opponents or get rolled over constantly
