Finally got immortal Nolan Ryan. Pretty close to 97 frank Thomas, and about 35 saves away from completing nenn & getting immortal billy Wagner. So the plan is finish the last conquest mission, then grind out nenn is stats on conquest extreme

I started Friday morning with 240K stubs. Now I'm at just under 410K. I can smell the Fishman. If I sold Gagne, I could get him right now...but Gagne is a golden god. The goal is to get to 500K, catch the Trout and re-buy Diamond Edwin at a reasonable price. Then the only player left that I want but don't have will be Immortal Wagner. Never thought I'd be able to create a team this good in my first year in DD without spending money. This is so much better than 2K.

Agreed man! I have maintained not spending money and yes I've invested a ton of time as this is my hobby...but at least it's possible to have an elite team without buying stubs.

Here's my immortal update:

Complete Immortals: Griffey - Ripken - Chipper - Musial - Pujols

Next up: Bench - Have the diamond and need like 40 more H and the rest will come naturally within those 40
Seaver - 4/5 CG's with 92 Fergie are out of the way. I just need one more CG with Fergie and 3 short game W's and Seaver is mine for my first immortal SP

Nen/Wager - I'm not TOO far from Nen but it seems like an eternity. I'm very close to finishing the silver/bronze/common requirement and not too far from the gold/diamond. Still need like 80 holds though, FML

How is it possible that the diamond Alomar is ten times worse than his gold and silver ? Seriously it's a joke that someone with 118 contact and 97 vision gets nothing but little pissy dribblers every at bat but real life scrubs like Gallo are better than Babe Ruth.

That Alomar is super disappointing. Just finished his arc today and I'm gonna have to put him on the bench as a pinch runner/late game fielding replacement...and that's ridiculous

Last year's card was absolutely ridiculous. Don't know why they didn't just use that one...

7 Robb nenn saves away from billy Wagner. Fairly close to tom Seaver. Once that’s all done I’ll have Nolan, Seaver & Wagner.

I might be the only person who chose these immortals first, and I can see why at this point with the grind 😪

Finally unlocked Seaver...but as expected he wasn't selected in any of my 4 seasons games.

I currently have 5 Immortals in my lineup and it's absolutely sick. I'm scoring very well in RS and I think I'm hitting like .330 to start.

I think I'm 5-2 on this season with one L just being me quit in the first inning. Opponent had Steven Wright on the hill and he bunted with his first two players (Gordon & Schwarber). No interest in playing people like that and my record doesn't mean that much to me.

Actually quite enjoying this Frank Thomas "grind". It has been fun using his gold card as well as stacking lineups with big 1B bats. Plenty of good options at both the silver and gold/diamond level. Still only about a third of the way through the hits required for gold/diamond 1B so I guess we'll see if I still think it's fun by the time I'm done.

Actually quite enjoying this Frank Thomas "grind". It has been fun using his gold card as well as stacking lineups with big 1B bats. Plenty of good options at both the silver and gold/diamond level. Still only about a third of the way through the hits required for gold/diamond 1B so I guess we'll see if I still think it's fun by the time I'm done.

Because for some unknown reason in this years game contact means nothing. It’s sll about power. Any card I’ve used that’s high contact low power does nothing but use a card with super low contact and high power....ala Joey Gallo, and you can hit balls all over and out of the yard. I’ve resorted to using mostly only High Power guys and using only power swing. Everything about hitting in this game is backwards this year.

Completed Alomar and Larkin, but am 5% short on Jackie and 10% short on Ripken. Don't really think I'll bother spending the 20k each to get the immortals as the way this game plays, neither looks particularly special.

I've unlocked the diamond cards for Thomas and Snider, who's missions are all I need to 100% Griffey and Pujols. I even bit the bullet and bought all the 3rd baseman and Braves hats required for Chipper, but I'm way behind on the 3B stats as I wasn't sure I'd bother. About halfway through the catcher stats and have Piazza all sorted. Pitching wise I don't really care as pitchers don't seem to make a huge difference imo, not to the point where I'm grind 200 saves or 700k's. I've almost unlocked the final CC just by using the pitchers I need to complete my 8,9 and 10th team epics, but beyond that meh.

Really don't know what's left after getting these immortals though, I'll probably just pack it all in and start Ni No Kuni 2

Yeah I keep asking myself that too. I thought this immortal thing was a horrible idea from the get go so Im not surprised that I keep finding myself asking what to do once I finish the ones Im going for. Theres no way to make my team better once I do and it kinda kills the mode.
