After mashing the hell out of the CPU this morning, I finally see a viable path to finish Snider, Belle and CC. If I can stick with my plan, I should get Griffey tomorrow, and hopefully Diamond Belle and Diamond CC by the end of the weekend! I'm so pumped to use them in RS.

on the verge of completing all the bronze/silver stat missions for the position player career arcs, along with having done CC's and half way along Fergies. Need another 10 hits with catchers and I've barely used a SS, but I don't really intend to get Larkin or Ripken. (Larkin looks a bit rubbish and I hate Ripken after all those stupid doubles missions!)

Almost time to stic my best team in and go Conquest Extreme...

Finally got diamond Snider overnight , was hoping the grind to finish the last part wouldn't be so long ugh. Got a few days off so hopefully should have Griffey by the weekend. Want that Belle but the grind for that can get f*****.

Impressive seeing everybody's progress against these grinds. I think these arc's will take me a fair while yet. Even though I play the game a few hours most days I'm not that great at it. You think these grinds are daunting, you should try being a crappy player and trying to tackle them, haha. Even when these new arcs are complete I'll still need to find the stubs to do the immortal exchanges. The only one I've done is for Wagner so that I can get to his diamond card to use towards the 75 LH saves within his program.

Alomar was initially going to be the focus but his card is too disappointing and I'm not going towards Jackie as I don't have stubs for Phillies/Dodgers. Think I'm going to start with going for Wagner and Thomas/Pujols as mashing with the 1B stacked teams seems to be working for me. Gotta get through the silver stats before Bellinger gets moved back up to a gold!

Agreed, I'm at about 400+ packs at this point with only one diamond player to show for it and even only a couple of diamond pieces of equipment. All the extra diamond souvenirs seem to have had the effect I thought they would and just crippled pack odds for anything of actual value

I havent bought a single pack this year, Ive just opened the ones theyve given me and its just full of common and bronzes, Its awful.

Base stealing missions are the worst. I hate when they throw over and pitch out. Goddamnit we're on rookie I'm not supposed to have to try!!

This may sound kind of odd, but it works for me. Full disclosure I play mostly on Veteran difficulty, so I don't know how well this works on higher difficulties, but for Veteran and below this works fine.

I NEVER try to steal on the first or second pitch. The CPU seems to slide step and/or throw over a lot on the first two pitches. I only steal on the 3rd pitch when the count is 2-0 or 0-2. I have never seen the CPU slide step on either of these counts. Pretty much a guaranteed steal every time with runners 75+ speed. The same goes for a 2-1 or 1-2 count, I don't think I have ever seen the CPU slide step, and they very rarely throw over.

Also, NEVER take the extra step off on first, it's unnecessary and just causes the CPU to throw over more often than not.

Try it.

Interesting, I'll try that.

Something I have been doing is to show bunt immediately. This prevents them from slide stepping. Unfortunately it doesn't stop them from throwing over or pitching out!

Either way, I got done with the LF/RF stealing missions so I won't have to worry about that crap for a while....I think........

I also started grinding out a CAP SS because why not. Probably will be the second best SS you can have after Immortal cal
