I guess I should have expected it after they made the changes to the ranked program, but the BR program reward pack being no-sell is ridiculous. I’ve used every BR program rewards to sell for stubs for live series. It’s been a grind but it’s enjoyable because I enjoy the mode and it was a way to progress my live series collection.

It’s a move that benefits a very small portion of the player base who frankly doesn’t need any help.

Still going to play the mode. I guess I’ll go with Verlander because I can’t hit with Frank and there’s too many 3B options already. I’m going to spam Verlander in any event he’s eligible so I hope everyone is happy with SDS’s decision.

Yeah this change is extremely short sighted. All they needed to do was award stubs to the people going 12-0 and making world series. Non sellable cards suck but if it's a lower end card from an offline grind then that is a bit more understandable.

Hopefully they reverse course but I have my doubts.

Maybe it means we'll see less justin verlander because people won't be grinding it if they can't sell for the stub reward.

I honestly have no desire to go into ranked now and face either ryan, randy, verlander or degrom...I'm sure many don't have randy yet but not too excited about that. I'd like more patrick sandoval and taijuan walker

i played a little bit last night to finish the Kijua conquest map and from one of the diamond duo packs i pulled .. GOLD LIGHTS!!! but yet it was just Eury perez lol i was really hoping for Harper but i sold him and then i ate the bullet and sold edmonds to buy degrom so once i go home today i will be able to collect Jeter !! im so glad i got it done so now i can focus my stubs elsewhere .. going to do the other showdowns for TA and the conquest so i can get that grind really going now.

Played for about an hour last night before shifting back to franchise. Finished-off the Mexico City program as I didn't have too much to do. Switched over to the Kaiju program and did a couple of moments (actually knocked-out the Hernandez moment in just 3 or 4 tries).

Then I decided to get the stupid Showdown over with. I went on a nice run, making it to the penultimate showdown vs Britton. I had a BAD feeling about facing Britton (he's a tough one for me usually) so I opted to skip him and take my chances vs Strasburg needing 8 runs. I actually beat it with a few outs remaining and got that over with. Once I get around to finishing off the moments, I'll throw together a Kaiju squad and start playing through the missions/conquest.

(As an aside - that Kaiju stadium with the big gate thing over CF is awful with the shadows...don't know what they were thinking with that one)

Not entirely sure where I want to go next....

Welp, finished up TA2 last night around 4pm. I'm at 500k for the Season 2 Program, sold off the sellable cards (boss, incognito, etc) and will get them back. Heck those Kaiju cards already down to 23k. I'm sitting at 1.3m in stubs (haven't bought stubs since my launch day $100 I spend on stubs just to get the Mets done.

Pulled Mickey out of a Chase pack from a free pack from TA2 Program. Thought about selling for 400k, but keeping because he clearly fits my Switch Hitting Lineup I use for Ranked.

Finished up the Event (20 wins) and on the way to completing the TA2 stuff I finished two TA2 Mini Seasons.

Time for some Ranked and BR Program Grind now and possibly the Gold Mini Season for the Booster Packs.

Whew.. LOL

Started into the gold mini season and played my first 6 games last night. I was a little mad at myself, I had bought the gold booster pack cards the previous night thinking I had forgotten to buy BR mission players from the previous BR program....definitely will lose some stubs there when I sell the dupes I get from playing through the MS, but oh well.

After playing three franchise games; I dove in late in the evening into the TA2 Central Showdown. Knocked it out fairly easily with only one showdown (vs Bednar of all people) taking us down to the wire. Live Series Salvy Perez was our MVP during that run; but late addition Whit Merrifield was crucial in the later Showdowns as a pinch-runner. I'm definitely beginning to get a handle on a general approach that works for me with Showdowns and may actually go ahead and do some of the others for TA2.

LOL. You mentioning price going up reminded me I pulled the Harper card as well, sold for 115k. He went up to like 132k last I saw, but thats what freaked me out about Mickey, didn't want to sell, then pay more to get him back etc.

Its hard to imagine his price dropping soon withoit a flash or stub sale.

Tatis was set 1 but he also doesn't have best reactions in the world on the OF, plus zero quirks. So makes sense he didn't hold value super long

Buy order went in for mantle at 383k...back to 8k stubs

Doing team affinity but keeping trout and Jeter in the lineup for p5. Trout I should have p5 by the weekend prob and then I'll start using mantle in all the TA games I guess

Has anyone tried tempo hitting. Trying to time swing with leg kick and foot hitting down? I can see in replays how it works but I can't get it perfectly down. I've tried in the past and can do it in practice and conquest but then online things just move so fast that it's harder and I abandon it pretty quick

I've definitely slowed down from launch. Sitting at 300K stubs and still a ways away from finishing Live Series. I need some pack luck ...

EDIT: This beefing in the forum thing really works - pulled Harper in the free Kaiju pack. Used him to get to 10 wins in the event, but tempting to sell at around 118K. Still about 100K shy of completing the NL, but still ... progress!

Pulled LS shohei for the 2nd time this year. Got my stub count back to 166k after buying mickey (who I haven't used) the other day.

Now Chapman comes out in the duos back.

I'm kind've debating what I wanna do at catcher/1b/2b...utley has 1b secondary and will be diamond defense, posada I could move off catcher and put at first. I'm still debating whether to get Ruth or Pedro but Ruth would prob replace Soto at dh and maybe id platoon him with Napoli.

If I moved posada to 1st I maybe buy Realmuto for catcher. Everyone seems to love Realmuto even tho I've never hit great with him

Was gonna take mo with the boss pack but since we get the free Jansen I may take utley instead.

Its starting to get like last year where I feel I have so much offline stuff to do that I'm never gonna use my God squad in ranked to try to keep up with content.

I have 4 more games of my last TA conquest map. That still leaves me with about 50% of each division in TA to do.

I just make a spread sheet and it keeps me organized and in line. Anything I do in the game has a purpose towards completing one thing, or multiple things at once.

I sold about 40k in dupes, bought 5 Duo Packs hoping for Chapman, no dice! Those are the first packs I've bought in the store all year I do believe. Now, time to just go buy Seaver for my Mets theme team.

Finished up the Weekly Wonders on Wed's and finished off the Topps May tier as well yesterday. Collected Cards and got Big Papi and now just 10 away from Wright (or Randy UGH)..

Doing this Alex Call moment is driving me nuts. I can’t get it out of the infield and when I do it’s a fly ball to the warning track. But yet I have 5 HRs with his card vs CPU on Veteran.
