hes currently going for a million...so prob even by the end of the week he's going to be a crazy amount...rewind pack would def make it easier lol

checked mini seasons and it's only 6 points for winning 5 games on legend...I guess thats not too terrible with everything considered. I'll maybe do the easy moments and that and see where it gets me.

Conquest looks like its essentially just playing 30 games on legend and probably don't have a lot of wiggle room to lose many (or any). Gotta do the whole map in 6 turns.

I'll prob be happy to get ketel and wagner and call it a day. I did good with Cain's first card but i don't want it bad enough to get all angry doing this **** lol

I got the Griffey moment done without much issue and have 12 out of 25 total bases after 2 games in the Adley moment. Those are probably the only 2 of those I’ll do. I probably won’t do the conquest, but I think you just have to play the NL West teams on HOF, then the rest can be done on AS until Tampa Bay who has a ridiculous amount of fans. I’m having a pretty good time in the event, and with it being on HOF, you get a good amount of pxp for the repeatable mission.

Re: What Are You Working On? - MLB The Show 23 Edition

Meanwhile, my newbie self is trying a TA Miniseason for the first time. I only have played on Veteran difficulty so far, but all the goals for All-Star level convinced me to try at least one game at that level. Completed TA3 for both East divisions, trying to get the other 4 done now.

Played with my TA Grind squad, not my God Squad. Walked a bunch of times compared to Vet/Rookie, but hitting JR Richard when I’m used to live series opponents (their 5th starters, too!) was a real challenge. Went scoreless into extras, then gave up a 2-run bomb in top of the 4th. Was just about to give up and drop to Rookie for the rest of the Miniseason, when I walked twice and hit a walkoff Grand Slam to win it (with Lamb, I think?). I guess I’ll give it a shot to see if I can hit those goals, even though I’ll get basically zero PXP other than for my pitchers…

I did a few more of the extreme moments and am up to 40 points in the program. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but you can change your gameplay style in settings to casual and it makes moments a lot easier. There are some moments remaining that I’m not going to waste time on like the perfect game and the ones where you have to hit triples. Those rely on too much luck and randomness. I’m starting a run on the mini seasons playing on AS which should get me 20 more points, and that with the specific player missions should get me to 85 without factoring in the repeatable pxp mission.

I didn't know the casual had anything to do with DD online...mine was set to competitive....I did notice it seemed like HR were a bit harder this year than prev in topps now stuff

Still haven't touched extreme. Did all the topps now stuff today and like 5-6 cards away from corbin carroll.

Plan to finish off BR tomorrow will likely take rube foster and never use him and get no stubs for my troubles but at least i'll be stocked up on the core cards.

Will likely spend the rest of the week finishing off TA. May save the extreme MS and cnoquest for the next TA...don't know. I like griffey but don't really care. Prob need wagner on the team more than griffey at this point.

I'm at like 73 BR points i think so may just jumped into ranked co-op for fun with whatever extra time I have tmrw to use some of these guys online....maybe the event? I have polo grounds tho I assume it'll just make me annoyed.

It only affects moments, playing any other part of DD changes and locks it to competitive. It does make moments easier, even on the HOF/Legend moments the pci is pretty big. I use meter pitching and it starts you out with the thick yellow target area for that, I don’t know how it affects other methods but I assume it makes those more forgiving as well.

I will def try this tonight , i think i have only like 5 moments left and i think the only ones i want to try and do are the Marte 2 HR moment ,the Morel 9Hr moment and then the 3Hr back to back to back the others i dont care to try.

Im almost done with the conquest map and from all the playing on hall of fame it gives me more confidence to try the event now because ive been doin really good even tho im sure its different online vs offline.

ive been using my best team and im loving it so far

                Ketel-SS
                Hammer Hank-Rf
                Hank Thompson-CF
                Buck-LF
                Stan the Man-1B
                Randy A-DH
                Jram-3B
                ADley-C
97 Dee-2B ( been using him just to bunt and get to 2nd if im down or scoreless in the 3rd inning)

Pitching ive used John Donaldson for the first 2 innings and then bringing in either Hells Bellz for the righty save or Hader for the lefty save until i get Wagner and then ill use him for the mini season run im going to do

I tried an event game, was fine. I think I'll just use team affinity guys to get that done and if I win I win

Was sway ahead of Felix Bautista outlier in hall of fame but I swear ranked all star around pennant race is 10x faster.

I know connections are what they are but I swear super speeds always happen in ranked (regularly) and like never happen in br or events

Is this something others notice or is it the ranked makes you a little more nervous and slow to react?

I’m not sure it’s pitch speeds, but hitting is always easier in events for me. I always attributed to pitching stamina being messed up in 3 inning games. Speaking of hitting inconsistencies, I am struggling to hit in mini seasons on all star. Hitting on AS in conquest, even on HOF in the event, I’m fine, but just can’t hit in this MS run.

I finished a mini season run and completed the 50 hits with Marte, sitting at 78 points in the program now. Completing Piazza and Cain stat missions will get me to 88, also by the time I complete those, I’ll knock off the 10k pxp mission (at 6K right now) to get me up to 98. Then to get Griffey, I’ll just need to complete the 25k repeatable mission that I’m at 9k at. So I’ll be able to complete this whole program without touching conquest or showdown and skipping a bunch of the annoying moments.

U do mini season on hof?

I think that's my plan when I'm done with team affinity

May actually try to get glavine in the event and sell him first since stubs are harder to come by now

Got 5 wins in the event... Tonight pitch speeds seemed way faster than the morning. But I'm 5-0 so far... Was primarily using Jake Peavy to get TA points and people prob aren't used to him.

                            I'm winning like 1-0 and 2-1

As much as I play this game I feel I should be better on hof

                            Sold Sutter for 50k

At about 500k,wondering if I should blow my stubs on Cruz or buy Paige and whatever else and target finishing set 3 collection... Most rookies and asg cards are close to quick sell now

Dove back into DD on Sunday. I realized that they had added a TA captain for Set 3 and I thought that was a really cool addition (I have this weird mental block now that I am screwing myself if I am not using a Captain, lol). Decided I was going to focus exclusively on a full TA3 build. There's a ton of very good cards to mix/match from (and some of those "classics" are sneaky good as well - Miller, Crochet, and Bundy come to mind).

Once my TA3 theme team is built, I want to use that squad for Extreme conquest and the Extreme mini season and see how well it holds-up. We'll supplement with the Extreme program rewards as well. Grinding in a challenging program for that Griffey has me inspired more than I have been with DD in quite some time.

I knocked out all 30 moments and all 3 showdowns on Sunday (plus the Central conquest map). Currently working through the East map and then I'll do the West. I'll probably also knock out the Shark map after that and then "take stock" of where the team stands. I have plenty of older Conquest maps if I am still grinding for specific TA3 cards as well before I dive into the Extreme content. We already have 50 of the TA3 cards, so we have a good reservoir of players but we still only have a couple of the 97s; so still a ways to go.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I'm 3 cards from Carroll and at 183 for set 3....i took acuna but want all 3

Been using pitcher captains in the event to get the boost and finish off team affinity which has been cool. Used blue jays, red Sox, and Orioles. Next I'm set with the twins so having gray, Nathan, and duran boosted are more than solid on hof

Started warming up in legend with Fb sliders up instead of hof and it's helped speed me up for the event. Still hard for me to pickup pitches with hof online with outlier guys but someone used shame Bieber and had no problem with that.

Felix Bautista people spam the Fb and it's coming at some pint so I have no prob wiht him neither

Dylan crews I've been using at leadoff

I'm 11-3 so far but I think what helps is working on team affinity pxp and not really worrying about if I lose or not.
