Any negro league stadiums recommended for online play

I'm using the Paige field but can't see right handed release point so that's an out

I could be mis-remembering but it seems like live series prices are a lot lower this year during pre-order period, so think you’ll be right about Tuesday. It does seem like live series is going to be easier to finish this year.

I’ve really had no pack luck this year, pulled a single diamond and just with what was earned and selling any non-Yankee I just need Judge and within striking distance of having him by end of day. And realistically seems could finish AL East very quickly and quite a few teams. So hopefully not in for shock tomorrow, but they are giving options for the gatekeepers which I think will keep prices down.

Re: What Are You Working On? - MLB The Show 23 Edition

The last two early access periods I found myself tempted to buy some of the high diamonds, only to adopt the false belief that they'll get cheaper when more are in circulation.

But more people lock them in as well which dries them up. I'm not in an uber rush for the live series, especially with set 1 cards being so insane. But from a value standpoint, I definitely missed some opportunities.

Then again, the bevy of gold/silver/bronze and even common cards being escalated offsets that a decent amount so ultimately I don't know if I really did miss out. I overpaid for Ronnie at like 18k because I believe he's going to have an insane year and be a 90+ very quickly. Also bought Fried and Harris and overpaid to an extent, which was dumb because I'm not even using them.

Obviously wanna finish my team's collection first but then stopped myself, waiting out the diamonds falling closer to quicksell. Only need Strider and Riley to finish the Braves. Still just playing and not worrying about the market at all.

I think I'm gonna need to start drafting diamond pitching in br because I keep throwing everything down the middle lol

I've had more good contacts than my opponents last few games but keep losing from this meatballs I'm tossing

I played be for about 3.5 hrs and got 11 points.... Gonna be a grind

I didn't even feel like I played bad.

Does feel smooth online and none of the pitch speeds felt super fast. New throw meter can make things interesting and extend innings.

Not settled in on a home park, noticed a few new minor league stadiums

I for sure overpaid on collecting the Braves this year but I wanted to get it done with first. I was scared to death Acuna was gonna jump back up and be like 150k+ again lol. I almost have the entire NL east done as well just got to finish up the Mets. It would be nice if I could get some pack luck. Been playing for years and the best card i've ever pulled was only worth like 75k. given up hope on ever pulling a Trout as far as im concered he doesnt exist in packs.

Down to the northeast in the USA conquest.

Always the most dreadful stretch - playing the Red Sox like 6 times in a row lmao.

Have a training session in about an hour and then should hopefully be able to finish it tonight. I have all the WBC moments done as a mental break from conquest. Not sure where I'm going after that.

Here's how jacked up packs are right now:

Just finished the USA map and cracked 20 more packs. Zero diamonds. Zero golds.

Pulled Alcantara out of the Gold pack haha.

I'll take it. NL is coming along nicely early on. Selling off any expensive AL stuff to focus on getting Sammy.

I got my pack luck in with a 5 pack, pulled two diamonds and a Chase pack - which ended up being Ohtani. My luck is done for the year I think.

I am just about done finishing all the WBC stuff, and I’m just not sure if I love having a stacked team immediately despite getting only one low Diamond and a handful of golds in all the packs I’ve opened, or if I am disappointed how good the WBC players are for a release set.

Took a break from playing the rest of the night after finishing the USA map. Did a couple more random equipment collections for packs and didn't pull anything notable.

Also went through and sold all the American League stuff that was still a bit inflated. Sammy is my sole focus right now so beefing up the Stubs to tackle that head on. I did end up overpaying to finish the Padres as it's being talked about more with Tatis coming eventually. I'm sure the bronze/silvers will deflate by then, but I also really want to use Jake Peavy. Normally, a card like that would stand out as a solid early collection but with the DD changes it's just kinda meh. Won't stop me from using him but it's just an interesting dynamic this year.

Which I love. I LOVE that it isn't just the same old hat as usual and there's wrinkles and nuance so far.

Got the first Charisma pack in the program and took Johnny Bench. None of the other cards really did it for me. I moved Buck to LF, benched Hank Thompson and put Bench at 1B. Toyed with the idea of adding another catcher to get Piazza's boost, but Buck's 2nd tier boost still has him and Dihigo fairly juiced. Want to enjoy using these cards as long as I can.

I'm also 500 program points away from the first Charisma pack in the NL East Affinity. I knocked out the conquest map a couple days ago and have gotten some decent PXP grind just from playing. I'm not really taking a run at grinding this hardcore and going to let the bulk of it just come from playing. I'll probably get around to the Showdowns eventually but focusing on other stuff. Most certainly taking Acuna even though his Reaction is atrocious at 56. That's borderline unplayable with the defensive changes but he's my guy so I have to take him. McNeil is getting a lot of deserved love as well and is probably the best card in the entire pack.

Did the WBC Showdown draft and will probably do that tomorrow. Undecided after that. I have the West and Central Affinity maps and like the idea of getting those out of the way. Not in a hurry to jump online as I still want to flesh my team a bit. Haven't touched Mini Seasons due to some of the reported issues but also want to jump into the Lefty Loosey grind sooner than later. I'm intrigued by Mulder and just checking out the revamped mode in general.

I'm guessing my first foray online will be the event. I do intend on playing Ranked this year but will probably wait a week or so to keep grinding up my team a bit.

Speaking of Ranked - anyone in here looking for co-op partners? I'm definitely interested in just getting some online games in and not playing uber competitively in co-op. Just kicking back and grinding out some innings for the program and if we play well that's cool, too.

I have the boss pack (lindor or Murakami).

Wbc reward pack (Cano or freeman)

                            Charisma al east (devers)

Team will be pretty good. Not sure whether to keep arenado at 1st or try something else.

Got 37 points now in br, still a grind and all sweaty games but I'd like to get the flawless prize soon so I can sell off for as much as I can.

I am loving this game so far. i have all the WBC stuff done and up the the first charisma pack in the NL Central for Edman , i really need my pack luck to get me Arenado and Goldy . I need that 95 Stan he was my best card last year i P5ed every version of him. I have been doing great with that Waino Captain card in the USA map im about half way done with it. I hope to try and get some more things done tonight but with the game now on Gamepass i can conquer all the conquest stuff other than strongholds while im on my phone so should make things alot easier.

Re: What Are You Working On? - MLB The Show 23 Edition

I've slowed down a bit the last couple of days after knocking out the US map and have settled into a more normal pacing where I will split my time between DD and franchise mode.

My main focus now is the AL West Team Affinity map. I want to finish it to get a couple more All Star cards as I want to use the All Star theme team for the Team Affinity mini season and a couple of my current All Star series can't be used since they came from the XP reward path.

Still haven't touched the WBC stuff - just feels like a waste of time with all the moments, the Showdown, etc. And frankly, I'm having way too much fun with these lower cards and building them into Theme Teams. The All Star theme team (with Bryce as the Captain) is super cool and all of the players can be grinded for (either from the XP Path, TA, or US Conquest).

On the collection front, the AL Central and AL West are both done (I pulled Trout and Ohtani on launch day; then pulled Trout again Sunday so I sold him and bought Degrom). Aaron Judge is my main block on the AL East; but I still have work to do for Toronto and Tampa. After my initial insane luck, I expect it's going to be awhile before I pull any more good cards.

Way further behind on the NL - though I bought Machado to lock-in the Padres now before that guy (who I fully expect will quickly become a gatekeeper) is reinstated.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.
