I was thinking the last night. My offense is stacked so I kind've want to save for pitching online but alot of set 1s are right at quick sell

Skimming through Pitchers there really isn't a ton of great ones in the game so far

I just got the final Boss pack and took Gibson. He looks absolutely disgusting this year. SP are definitely a bit weak so far.

That gives me Gibson, Bumgarner, WBC Pablo Lopez, WBC Cueto and Tom Seaver as my starting 5.

I've played 7 ranked and I basically just bought and sold starters

Used darvish, Walter Johnson, Sasaki, etx

Gibson is good price for 30k. I sold all my bosses towards collections. Thinking I may play some ranked on Monday if I can get reacclimated to online a bit.

Was hoping I'd get a boss pack in this wheel spin but prob like 10 chances and no boss pack so far

Part of me wants to bite the bullet and buy Sasaki since we most likely won't see him in The Show again for a long time - if ever. I'm holding out hope I can get some decent wheel spins but I think we all know how that'll go lmao

Moving the chair closer to my TV has really been a game changer. It's a crappy chair, so my back isn't loving it, but my hitters are!

Currently farming the heck out of the Rockies in Vs CPU mode to bank as much XP as possible. Playing only on Rookie/Veteran makes for a long grind, but I can't hit reliably enough to play higher. Only have a few Topps Now moments left, but only playing those when I don't have enough time for a 9-inning Vs CPU game since the XP is so previous right now. I have some travel away from my PS4 coming up just before the end of season 1, so if I don't complete the Season 1 XP path and get a spin or two on the wheel, I'm going to be annoyed.

Mostly rotating players to get PXP for Team Affinity while building up that XP. WBC Lindor and WBC Moncada are absolute BEASTS in my lineup. Have them going 1-2 to try to wear them out for hits for my weaker captain cards later on in the lineup. Jackie Robinson batting for the weekend, because why waste a perfectly good boost? If I ever build up the courage to play other humans to eventually complete the egg hunt, Jackie, Buck, and all their friends will be back on the roster, because that is 100% my strongest play.

Tipped my toe into card flipping for the first time this week. My stubs balance is too low to run with the big dogs, but have been having some good luck flipping some silver players and gold equipment. Have had decent luck pulling diamonds so far, but am only gradually buying up scrub players for a team here and there for the live collections. SDS is quite clever in how essential they make the app for playing the market, given the info that you can't see within the console view of the game. It's pleasantly addictive, without being predatory about requiring pay-to-play over grinding away for free.

Still didn't feel great today so stuck to offline. Decided to just grind out the classic Mini Seasons I was sitting on.

Ended up with 30 packs and a couple BIAH from the championship bundle and wheelspins...

Absolutely nothing. Like it's actually getting annoying how bad packs have been haha. There's just no thrill to it at all when you're pulling nothing but dust.

Got back up to around 60k and threw the Stubs at some of the lower cost Set 1 cards and Jose Ramirez. I'm not focused on Live Series at the moment, but he's relatively cheap and always a candidate to hit 90+ so I'm ok throwing the Stubs at him right now. Even if he doesn't get upgraded, unless they randomly downgrade him (157 OPS+ so no reason to do so)it's a safe enough investment.

Also finished the West Showdown which got me the NL Charisma pack and took May.

Feel like the team is definitely Ranked ready now. I'm actually leaning more toward that then worrying about Events unless the Event rewards are insane. BR I just never got started so I'll have to hope that there's a rewind pack I guess.

Been trying to convince IRL peeps to play so we can play Ranked Co-op and no one is biting haha. Seems like such an easy, chill way to grind out the program without sweating the results too much.

I got all the conquest done and then tried a few event games friday night and no idea why but i couldnt hit at all in the event. saturday night during the tornadoes that were all around me i started on BR and got up to like 70 points had a couple of good runs. i think my best was started 6-0 and then just couldnt lock in after that , might have been because of it being almost 2am lol ..
so im going to try and finish it tonight after work i only have a couple of XP grinds i need to finish to get the pack so hopefully i can do that .i got 4 wheel spins and only got the gold level as my highest , got the WBC pack 2 but of course got the base round lol .. i am loving this game just wish i had more time to consistently sit down and play .

The TA is going to take me 800 years to finish. A mini season takes a freaking long time to complete so it's not exactly the most ideal way to do it. I think I may just ignore it at this point, I'm not even 50 percent on most of the regions. I will fully max out the regular progression tonight. Guess I'll start playing online. Devers is freaking ridiculous btw. I don't recall using a more juiced player ever. I just hit bombs left and right with him. If you square it up it's going to be gone.

Pinpoint is definetly better. I'm not hanging random stuff middle middle. This was a 9 inning 1 hit shutout with willis

I'm at 728K XP, so I've had 9 wheel spins. 2 gold, zero diamond. Not exactly motivated for more ...

I've never felt the need to switch from analog. I mentioned it before but pinpoint feels like I'm casting a spell instead of pitching. I just can't stand it. I can still dot way too easily even with analog. When all the pitchers are throwing 103, making it easier to dot corners seems kind of silly. I don't play online much lately so eh it is what it is.

Idk there's nothing worse to me when you have 10 good contacts, two perfects and nothing to show for it then your 97 dustin may just lobs a cookie Slurve square in the middle despite your good input for it to be low and away and out of the strike zone.... Then your opponent with zero good contacts his a nuclear bomb to take the lead

I feel like that's how events were going early on for me

I haven't been online since the patch but offline pitching feels better for sure. Balls still aren't going to the pixel, so no super dotting. But the ball not landing on the outer edge every single time is a relief.

Well this bites, I just accidentally picked charisma Jeremy Pena when I already had him and I can't sell him as a result. My wife distracted me and now I'm screwed with having two Pena's and can't do anything about it. They really shouldn't give you unsellable cards.
