Down to just the NLE to complete for TA3, at 63% currently. Left NLE for last on purpose, as I got Rollins just in time for this build. He pairs nicely with all the previous NLE TA bosses, with Acuna at 2B.

Which is fortunate, because I am awful hitting with both Vlad and Stanton, so somebody has to get those TBs for me. The race against the family vacation starting this weekend is on!

Played two more ranked games and got a instant quit. Won all 3 so now up to 18-0 and I think my rating is just under wild card in the 600s

Both of these games were tough. I started Jackson Jobe and went down 5-1 in the first game against degrom. I hadn't used him yet but was clearly a mistake. Opponent had outlier timed up no matter where I threw it and wasn't chasing on much else. Even had a bases load jam in the 6th that I got out of with Yuki matsui. I was certain a grand slam was coming. I used ottavino in the final two innings and he kept it scoreless. Offensively I started to figure out degrom. Actually had a few perfects early that were line outs and super frustrating. I basically came back with homers. I know profar hit my go ahead 2 or 3 run Homer. I've hit over 500 with honus in ranked too.

2nd game I used randy and my opponent used Jr Richard so I had a big advantage. Honus lead the game off with a hr and I ended up hitting like 7 hr I think, maybe 6. I won 11-5 but I think the game was closer than that. Opponent timed up outlier against randy and would check swing in just about every slider and split low. Idk how players can commit to swing at outlier but always hit just gentle enough to check swing on the other pitches.

Im hitting pretty good with everyone but Escobar and between gunnar and freeman thus week I think I'm like 1-12 or something. Freeman hit a hr and gunnar has a walk.

Games are getting sweaty so I think I might just try getting a little more distance in ranked with co-op

I'm pretty sure this has been the most fun I've had with the game all year this week... Getting to use cards I grinded for while earning all the ta and xp progress along the way.

Completed TA3 tonight. Ended up with enough cards for the homestretch pack from S1 collection, which of course was based on round. Took Loup.

Only have 1 of the XP path bosses, but Rollins was the only one I was really itching for anyway.

Now I feel like I can go on vacation in peace. I might even play around with a Papi-Kershaw team build for the Apple conquest later this week.

I'm interested in kershaw...I still have a captain pack i haven't opened (already have santana)...but I use 3 switch hitting pitchers for the boost and all are right handed. I think you need a minimum 13 lefties for kershaw boost?

I haven't looked hard but wondering if anyone is running tier 3 santana plus a kershaw boost of some sort

I think I’m essentially burnt out on DD at this point. The new releases always pique my interest but it feels like every year my expiration date moves up another month, it seems.

I just can’t sustain the momentum the mode seems to demand. If I want to pursue any other interest, I fall way behind the pace of the XP path or the stream of program releases. I don’t dislike the season model necessarily, but it definitely increases the pressure in a way that makes me prefer to opt out.

I’ve returned to dabbling in other modes. Just started a new franchise where I control all 30 teams (but otherwise GM/manager functions are on auto), with fantasy draft and legends on, no DH, and no Manfred runner. It’s fun to just play games in interesting scenarios. I’ll probably wind up simming to the World Series every year and trying to win it with whichever team I prefer.

My DD future might just be decided that I’m only playing Conquest and MAYBE Mini-Seasons with my best available squad and ignore everything else, including collections and other programs.

Well, today’s content drop seems like a pretty clear “we’re fixing the duration of the grind problem!” message from SDS.

Completing the S1 recap program was enjoyable, made me feel like the previous work I had done was worth something…although I do regret locking in so many cards, which I now have no-sell duplicates of from all those packs.

Also got the third XP path boss from the double XP plus the recap program XP rewards. A pleasant surprise before I lose access to the game over the next week and a half.

well thanks to the recap program and double XP i got both 2nd bosses and am close to both 3rd packs as well. I liked the content but do kinda wish it was more than just collections to get progress mostly but i did feel good to feel like grinding actually helped.

not being biased as a Cards fan but that Pages card from the season awards drop is stupid good .. ive got 15 hits with him combined offline and online and 10 of them are HRS , its nuts he will fit well on the Cards team for sure.

Opened up all those free packs and bot base rounds of everything LOL. I mean all cards will go towards TA s2 exchanges, but my goodness.

The whining the small minority that these "content" creators are doing is beyond bad at this point. They are worse than any issues with the game in all seriousness.

The foul balls for sure needs adjusted in someway shape or form. Other than that I agree with you, game is fine beyond that.

Well these content creators whined and moaned when we had it all at once at the beginning of a season, with some programs here and there during a season. They said "nothing to do" for too long of a period etc. So SDS changes it up and now because of them (maybe) and it's worse because legit nothing to do lol.

There is a happy medium somewhere, hope they find it. These boss cards should also be core cards as well as collection cards. Makes no sense to me why they aren't.

Cards gated behind those packs don't bother me, but I get it. Yet for me doesn't matter because I'm running a Mets theme team and also the Switch Hitter Theme team, which I have ran for last 5-6 years without a boost. Content creators wanted it, they got it, now they hate it LOL..

I also had zero issue with the XP path, yeah it was slower, but I play all game modes and get what SDS gives us. Most complaining about it only play one game mode (BR or Ranked). That's on them for not playing the game elsewhere. If they don't want to I get it, but not everything needs catered to these guys and how they play. I've had the Season Path done for about a month and had wheel spins prior to the last two double XP weekends etc.

With all that said, this game needs to figure out how to add a new game mode or two next year because this is beyond stale and that I feel like we all can agree on.

Spent most of the week finishing the USA conquest. I wasn’t very far on it when I started, so it took me a ton of time. Tried to use it to make progress on TA3, which I guess I did but it certainly didn’t feel fast enough.

Pulled a Chase pack out of a regular pack and got Adley. My first time ever pulling a chase pack reward. Going to try him out in the moonshot event to see if I like him then put him on the market. If I like him, I might grab him in season 2 and wildcard him. Running a Cubs team it doesn’t seem likely I’ll get

The fact that we don't have a theme specific or captain specific playlist is absurd. They could make that "unlimited" with a separate set of rewards from ranked.

Ranked feels phased out at this point anyway with how lackluster the rewards usually are outside of this last batch

Got to 5 wins in the event. With the reward packs I got another chase pack, this time pulled Skenes. Unreal luck today. Sold him and Adley for about 300k so I’m now at like 450k and just ready to crush season 2.

I’m not hitting great right now, but I’ve managed to pitch decently for a moonshot event. Got lit up one game, but other than that close wins. Going to just keep at it in the moonshot event until I figure it out.

I took him over walker cause I suck with walker but I'm Def not gonna wild card pettitte so once again it's too late to care.
