How’s everyone doing on the season XP path? I feel like I play a ton, and I just got Jim Palmer a couple days ago. I think they need to really fix it and start offering more xp in programs or nobody is getting boss packs. I would love to try that Billy Williams on my theme team since I’m short on lefties, but don’t know if I’ll even make it there before the season ends.

I think SDS listened about the more XP in programs part. Just got to Story via the latest Awards drop, and I’m an offline only guy. I’d imagine the online players are about to hit the gas on the S1 XP path this weekend.

Those Captains look interesting. There are some great switch hitting players I’ve used so far (Dominguez, TA Chili Davis, TA Josh Bell, and the new Ruiz from classics come to mind), so Santana seems like a must-have. Big Papi is obviously mandatory for me as a Red Sox fan. Don’t have 80k stubs to burn, though, so going to hold off until the card prices come down a bit in the coming weeks.

I always suck with carlos santana but a switch hitting captain is up my alley

I'm not sure how many switch hitters I even have at the moment but i wonder how a max santana boost team compares to a buxton boost team. Interesting that the captain pack is going for 40k and all the capt cards are going for 40k. I wonder if these will sky rocket in price like j roll and ripken did last year once they're removed from the store.

I only have 112k so don't really want to invest to find out

Remember Kenley and Ottovino are relievers that are switch hitters so they’d count. I think Robin Robert’s as well. Haven’t really looked at what that team looks like but there’s been a ton of great switch hitters released recently (though they’re expensive).

I bought the captain pack and picked Suzuki for my cubs team. Might try him as a captain eventually, but either way a pretty good card. Going to buy another pack to sit on to see if prices go up when they’re out of the store or if something becomes the clear meta. Actually a pretty good content drop.

The captain pack is guaranteed captain and pick which one you want right?

I imagine they'll put this pack out later but it does seem like a good value for 40k anyway

I bought a Santana for the switch team and thought about Hoffman but I rarely ever have to use my pen anyway.

Debating on whether to buy a 2nd Santana to hold on to assuming price sky rockets at some point

Would only leave me with 60k to work with.

Depending on the legend cards that get released, Ortiz might be the other Captain to go with. Feels like the legends have had a heavy 2000-2009 skew so far.

So i had a very frustrating weekend on the show but for once it wasn't because of gameplay or content , I was getting ready to play in the OLD heads tourney that RoFlo put together and my internet started to spazz on me and wouldn't let me connect to an online game. I have T-mobile internet and i've heard it gives other people issues alot but this has never happened to me . Does anyone have any suggestions or tips other than get new internet? lol

On the content stuff i really thought it was a good drop of stuff and i bought 2 captains pack and took Carlos with 1 of them and im going to hold on to the other one to see if the cards sky rocket after they are out of the store. In all honesty i would love to try the Lefty captain as well with how many good pitchers there are and i always to well with lefty hitters.

Since i couldnt play any online games i started that new mini seasons for the XP and that bob feller might not be terrible . i am in the playoffs , i was hoping to finish it all last night witht eh double XP but of course the wife had other plans so maybe ill try tonight to finish it

So does live series trout lose all his value in the game now?

Next roster update he moves to free agency and no inside edge for the foreseeable future.

I'm not really doing babe collections but have been using trout as my DH. Should I sell him now?

He still gets the Buxton boost, he's core and I like his swing

Well I'm at a stuck position because i have tried just about everything i have found online to do about the internet stuff but still nothing has worked so i think my last option other than getting new internet is to try maybe using my phone hot spot so ill do that tonight , if i cant play online i dont know if im going to stay on the DD side of this game it may force me into going to franchise and i dont think i would be too sad about it with the way DD has become alot more pay to play instead of grinding

They don’t remove high diamonds. Diaz was a gatekeeper for the Mets collection last year. He will lose inside edge and his price probably does drop, but he’ll still be pretty valuable.

That feller mini seasons is super quick and easy

I finished off team affinity and got like 25 packs in 3 games lol (veteran)... Really just trying to get the xp so I can maybe get Rollins before the season ends... I just got past rollie fingers yesterday so still seems far off

Prob going to skip event this week to knock out a mini season run or two and hope to have some type of pack luck in the process.

So far I've just pulled a John Donaldson and aaron judge the whole year

Came from a Ballin pack from the feller mini seasons.

I'm finding mini seasons pretty boring and redundant but this Def made it worth it...

No idea whether to sell or keep honestly but nice problem to have

8 games in and using mostly live series cause I finished team affinity so will prob use shohei in there for the time being

I’m up to 220 cards in the main collection. I’ve earned literally every card possible, bought every card under 8K, and I’m still 10 short of Lou. How do they expect us to earn and use these cards before the end of the season without spending money??? I’m grinding my tale off for Rollins while trying to collect every card possible for Brett. Who knows how hard it’ll be to unlock wild cards, but it already doesn’t feel worth it. I go on vacation for a week, hoping I lose the urge to return to this unloving girlfriend called ‘DD’.

Yeah, they need to start doing double xp every weekend or something. Im approaching Billy Williams and haven't even got to leiter yet. I haven't locked in my BR cards so I'd be pretty close to leiter. I might by those cheap spring breakout cards too

But yeah it'll suck if we gotta get 300k xp to unlock the first wild card next season... I hope we can at least start with one

Also, idk the point of getting Rollins, Brett, mays, petite, etc if I can only use them for like 1 week. I'd love to use pettite but not gonna wold card a pitcher. It's dumb
