Yes, I've seen throwing errors made in the game. Fielders have misfired on plays to bases and I've seen catchers let pitches get away from them. I've seen this both from myself and the CPU.

iirc there were problems with roster management, trading, and injuries in franchise mode.

Is it just me or are check swings very RARELY ever appealed to the the third and first base umpires?

Not much. But it's not like MVP 05 where it was a little too much.

The CPU firing all the managers and coaches in franchise was a big glitch last year...has that been fixed?

Is anyone using their slider sets from last year succesfully?

What sliders, if any, do you see needing to be changed substancially from last year?

absolutely not...and I'm going on record right now to say that the TOTAL error engine in the PS2 version of the Show 2008 is FOREVER BROKEN

The ps2 version plays better than the ps3 version. Gameplay is more refined on ps2, grpx ps3 of course.

I really like the game. The PS2 graphics are crappy on my AV in to my HD Set.


Is there anyway to turn down the number of fouls. I just had like a 15-16 pitch battle with Pujols. That's a bit much.

Turn down either pitch count or plate vision (might be plate discipline) to reduce foul balls.

Really surprised at how good this game is on the PS2, I got it today in addition to MLB 2K8 for the 360, I figure between the two I will be covered!

This game is terrific. It's the closest thing I've played since High Heat 2003 on the ps2. The way the hits vary is cool and pitch count really helps with the realism.

Like others have said, great game. Thought about splurging for the PS3, but the quality of this one has kept me happy for now.

the main negatives:

-Errors, like 95% of all baseball games, are screwed up. Way too rare, and when they do happen, they're not always recorded as errors either. Haven't seen a trhowing error. Anyone experiment with the throw acc. slider?

-Hitting, on HOF and with my contact slider near zero is still a tad to high. I don't think I'm capable of getting less than 9-10 hits a game. Anyone else seeing this?

I've heard the PS3 version has a few more bugs that the PS2 version, but I wonder if it's any better with these two issues.
