Yes it does. I found out yesterday that my GS is having a midnight release tomorrow

I've got a question for anyone who has ever been to one of these midnight releases. Do they actually make everyone wait til midnight or is there a chance of getting it a little earlier?

I figure if they're staying open for the halo release I could just walk in there at like 11 o'clock a be like "look dude, I don't wanna be here. Just sell me the show and let me get on with my life".

But if I actually had to wait til midnight I'd probably be better off picking it up on my lunch tuesday and then coming up with an excuse to leave work early.

Yea everyone i have ever gone to makes u wait until 12. Even walmart makes u wait, it sucks but maybe you could ask them to do u a favor since u arent a Halo enthusiast and the B.O. will probably be overwhelming in the store lol.

you also have to have a pre-order already in order to pick anything up at a midnight release.

I've got my copy pre-ordered from amazon.com and it will, weather permitting, hopefully get here tomorrow. I'm just a little worried that the order status doesn't say "Shipped" yet. I have the release date delivery option picked, so I'm wondering what type of refund I get if they fail to live up to their promise?

Just called the Software Etc here and they said that if I reserve the game today, I can come in during their midnight release for Halo Wars and I can pick The Show up.

Drove 80 miles this morning to get it & it was the last copy. Now, Ilm gonna drive 80 miles home and clear the family out so I can enjoy her.

When I ordered mine a couple months ago, EBGames was offering free overnight shipping with guaranteed delivery by street date. But that was only a 24hr deal they were doing. Normally overnight with then is $9.99 or you can have it shipped to a store close to you for free.

Since it's already Monday I'm just going to hang out with my girlfriend tonight and I can wait one more day. But, I didn't realize there were so many Chicago suburbanites on this board. Next year, we can each take different suburbs when we go on our search and pick-up copies for each other if we find any. That will save us all a lot of time!

The Gamestop in Merrillville, IN is doing a midnight release. I was in there the other day and the guy said there are 4 baseball nuts working there who have really been pushing The Show; they had about 45 pre-orders at that location at the time and were planning a Monday night midnight release (tonight).

This was the standalone Gamespot ACROSS from Southlake Mall (not in the mall)... it's on the corner of U.S. 30 and Mississippi.

Has anyone tried an official sony style store?

I called one and the lady claimed to have it, but I'm not sure if she knew for sure the 09 version. I'll probably just go in tomorrow because I've had too many situations in the past where I call a store and they say they have a game and I drive up only for them to have last year's version or them being unable to sell the game.
