I never knew how bad the Giants hitting was...

Until I started my franchise with them. They suck. All of them. Well, almost all of them, other than Pablo Sandoval.

God Bless their starting rotation though.

Is it me or is regular season much different than Spring Training?

      What I mean is this:

Tribe franchise: ST, I averaged giving up 10+hits per game, and getting beat ridiculously with scores like 11-3,12-4, etc.

Just played two regular season games, and I stand at 1-1. Rangers beat me in game one 5-4, both teams had ten hits.

Game two, I beat the Rangers 6-4, Tribe had 8 hits, Rangers had 6.

All games played on Vet mode, with some minor slider tweaks.

Huge difference; both in pitching and hitting for me.

      Anybody else see this difference?

Yes. There is, just like real ST.

I've noticed there are many more Fastball's in ST then there are during the regular season. It's really cool, actually, because that's how it would feel if you're in the MLB.

Thanks,OSU. I thought so, but wasn't sure. Another touch of realism!

Oh and hey, another fellow Tribe/Buckeyes fan I see!!!

What camera do you guys use in RTTS when your goal is to look for the third base coaches sign? It doesn't come up often and when it does it seems you only get a pause or maybe two to try out the different camera options before the game won't let you pause again and the pitcher throws his pitch.

I've tried a few different camera angles but can't see him to read the sign (they should have just put it in a window for that specific event), I just got traded from the Orioles AAA team to the Cleveland Indians and got included in the 40 man roster immediately, I don't want to start my MLB career with another 'goal not attempted'.

I'm just curious...has anyone stole home successfully? What was the situation?

Wow.....ever have a video game that was SO GOOD that the one mistake you made that lost you the game, had you thinking about it all day!!?? The Show is that game.......

Any previous game, any sport, I never cared about losing as much.
Well, today, I had a great game going with Carmona (CLE) against the Rangers, a three hit shutout going into the fifth. Two outs, runners on first and third, about to get out of a jam. Up 1-0 at the time...
Catcher calls fastball, I decide I've thrown enough fastballs, so I shake him off and go with the slider....
*CRACK* A three run shot to left field.
                  Rangers ended up winning 3-1.
I'm not going to blame the so-called "CBAI" (Comeback AI)

It was strictly my fault, which is why, even at work, all day I kept replaying that one ^*$&^ pitch, and thinking what if I'd just went with the dang fastball!!??

So this game really had me in a tizzy all day! Even with Madden, I never cared much about certain bad plays I made.

But this game.........dang, I may not have a life left!

Lol. Had the same feeling after my last game. I won the first game of the year @ Anahiem 5-4. Great bullpen performance. On a high all day about that.

Then Eveland starts game two and struggles early on. 2 men on and 2 strikes to Napoli, I decide to go inside with a FB that I'd had a hard time locating. It caught too much of the plate and Napoli yanked it over the short LF wall for a 3-run homer. Then, the wheels totally fell off and I got pounded 12-5. I thought about that ill-advised pitch for like two hours. Let's just say Kurt Suzuki and Eveland both got a talking to after that one .

Seems like my hitting has finally "clicked". I've gotten probably 25 hits in my last 2 games with the Twins. Don't like the blatant catchup AI that's in the game, but I'll try turning that....ON? Makes sense!
That is the same situation Im in. I played the demo & thought it was awesome but couldnt hit @ all. I was thinking that if I got the game & put it on a lower difficulty I'd be cool. What do you guys think or is it to easy on the lower levels? I typically dont play baseball games but I was intrigued by everyone talking about the game so I downloaded the demo & liked it a lot dispite me not being able to hit.

I wish this game had the same baserunning scheme as MVP 05. That about the only gripe I have about this game.

yeah, I find myself getting "confused" when baserunning at times. Especially amidst the excitement of an extra base hit with multiple runners on base.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Most definitely. Although it's just opposite (as far as when the ball is in play). Instead of the face buttons corresponding to your runners, the L stick does (does D-Pad work too? That'd be nice.) It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not hampering me too much.

As for impressions... I'm just impressed. First foray into PS3 gaming mostly, as I only have COD4 and LBP. It's just exciting seeing how good it looks. After putting all my music on the thing, I'm halfway through an exhibition game. I'm liking what I'm seeing.
