all I know is the drive in the run goal is complete BS, you HAVE to at least get a single to the outfield to get points cause if the guy dont score its an automatic fail no matter if its a good result or not. thats if the guy is on second of course, moving him over gets negative points go figure

I want to say that I still get points as long as I get on base myself. Now if I don't get on base but move the guy over, then I think you are correct in saying you get negative points.all I know is the drive in the run goal is complete BS, you HAVE to at least get a single to the outfield to get points cause if the guy dont score its an automatic fail no matter if its a good result or not. thats if the guy is on second of course, moving him over gets negative points go figurePSN: guitarchitect7

Well, RTTS has been fun but since I see that Knight is at least done with the AL on his roster set, I'm bout to start my franchise. No more RTTS exclusively. I'm ready to play some real games."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Just had my best game as a RTTS pitcher.

It was great. I also only faced two batters over the minimum.Moderator

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I think I'm getting worse at hittin in RTTS. It's like the more I play, the worse I get. And my attributes aren't declining, they're all stabilized. I am just in the worst slump. I am in my third year, and I just got sent back down to AA from AAA for the second time in like 4 months. It's all in my head, but I just can't hold back on anything, I swing at crap, then when I say "Okay, I'm really not swinging" of course it's a perfect pitch to hit.
On a side note though, I've had like 5 10 game hitting streaks. It's just that most of the games I only get 1 hit, so my average stays in the .200's.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Any help with this one? Thanks!I have a RTTS question.
In The Show 08, I noticed that if you had a pitcher and, for example, maxed out all his curveball stats (specifically break) that the pitch was not nearly as good and was noticeably different from when you created a pitcher and maxed out all his curveball stats. Has this changed?
This kept me from playing RTTS last year.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I've always wanted the option to play an entire game in RTTS. You could watch from the dugout while not batting on offense, and play your character on defense for the whole game, or just stay in the dugout if you are on the bench.
I hope they add this in the future.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Exactly my problem it is as if I get worse as well! I swing at crap thrown so far wide it is ridicilous. I remember getting a hit in my very first AB, but it was all downhill from there...and when I started playing yesterday I had an average of .285, by the time I switched of my ps3 my average was .210, I'm in such a bad slump now. Can't hit anything. I'm in my first year though, only got the game saturday.I think I'm getting worse at hittin in RTTS. It's like the more I play, the worse I get. But hitting is hard, at first I got hits quite regularly, but now...I can't hit anything. Even batting practice is a problem and a waste of time. My poor guy couldn't have gotten of to a worse start in his career. At least I have 5 RBI's only because of sac flyballs. I've only hit one HR so far with my guy, in batting practice...lol
At least his potensial is "A" (or is it always A?, i don't know) so there is a slim chance of getting somewhere. I'm so sick of the cutscene where my manager points his finger at me and yells because I did nothing in the game...sighLast edited by R9NALD9; 03-17-2009, 03:31 AM.San Francisco 49ers

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Hang in there, it seems to come and go in cycles. For the first month or so in AA I was hitting below the Mendoza line (.200) then I caught fire for a 4 to 5 series stretch then back down again but this time not as bad or as long. Currently I'm on a hot streak again. In the last 10 games I'm averaging .390 with 2 jacks and a couple of RBIs.Exactly my problem it is as if I get worse as well! Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I've never seen a potential other than A for a RTTS player. I assume this is because given enough time and training points, you could eventually max out every attribute. (Last year, my starting pitcher was so good, that eventually all I had to do with my pitching stats was to wait for them to start to decline, and put 40 in them to keep them at the max again for 30 days. I had a lot of points to dump into other things, and I ended up having a pitcher who could hit better than my other player, a shortstop! It was weird (and a little unrealistic.))Comment
