On a side note, the Zephyrs are not very good. We are in last place.
I feel you with the homeruns,I'm started my RTTS over since I'm finally completely comfortable batting ,and if you add all of my at bats together I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of 80-100 at bats and not one homerun.I was drafted by the Angels,I'm 15 games into the pre-season,and I'm batting .302 with 9RBI and 0 Hr's, very frustrating.Other than that I can't put this game down,PS3 really needs to drop that price asap.

I finished the 2010 season up and down, but my last few games were great. I'll post some screens later/tomorrow. After the last game, I got called up to the bigs. I'm excited, but nervous. Don't want to C&B. I was hesitant to continue, but I've seriously got about 25 save files. Hopefully one of them would end up working with a potential fix, so I'm taking the risk and am going to continue playing...with my fingers crossed.

Well I'm slowly but surely going through my career. Just had 3 quality starts and couldn't get a win out of any of them. Dumb manager pulled me on a possible complete game shutout all because I put a man on with one out. COME ON
I was pitching my heart out over my last few starts and got nothing to show for it except a good amount of training points. Man I wish I get traded or called up or something. I just don't want to stay with these Beavers. I almost rather go down to AA.

I got pulled again with just giving up one run in early on. I was economical with my pitches after that run and get to the 7th well under 80 pitches or so and I get pulled.

I hit my first homerun and tallied by first (two) RBIs in the major leagues, but while trying to take a video of it in replay mode I got locked up and had to restart. I guess my next "first homerun and RBI" will have to be my second....

What position are you, and who did you get traded for?

The last time I got taken by the Jays, I was dealt with Brian Tallet for Chris Davis and Derrick Turnbow.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a common occurence, or does my team's bullpen just suck really really bad?
The only time that the jobber relieving me from the 'pen doesn't allow my runs to score is when there is a guy on first and I've got at least one out. If there is a runner at second or third, he's probably going to get in.

God help you if the bases are loaded and nobody is out. I've had that happen a couple of times.

Relief in the majors is much better, though. I'm in my third season, and I've noticed that the bullpen spells you a bit better. Survive those AA knobgobblers, and you'll be fine!

I was thinking some sort of breaking ball, but would a fastball that has movement be better?
I went with fastball, change, curve when I first started, then added a slider. I'll insert a sinker next, then a knuckler just to **** with guys.

If I were you, I'd go with a big hookin' curveball. Don't make it too fast, though, as you want something with 12-6 movement that compliments the sinker without duplicating it.

I posted this in the PSP thread before I saw this.

How quickly are your ratings improving in RTTS? For some reason, I don't think I'm improving very quickly. I have two RTTS players (one SS and one SP). Both players are in their 4th season and got picked up by the Tigers in the Rule 5 draft (so I'm in the majors). However, my overall ratings are still pretty bad. My SP is 8/16 in the organization and my SS is 4/5 in the organization. Meanwhile, there are other SIM people that are about the same age but have much better overall ratings.

Has anyone created an absolute stud player by the time they were 24 (or 6 seasons into RTTS)?

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread

62-100. 62 wins and 100 losses. That is how my first year with the Nationals ends. 62-100! I did my part in my 33 starts. 14-8 over 200 innings pitched a WHIP of 1.07 and an ERA of 2.07. I attributed to 23% of the teams wins and only 8% of the losses. I thought I woulds like the roster Dukes, Zimmerman, Pierzynski, LaRoshe, Belliard, Millidge. Looks like a capable lineup. It's not. Losing games 1-0, 2-1 or being yanked in the 8th inning of a 3-0 game in which I've allowed 5 hits only to see the pen couldn't get 5 or 6 outs. Such is life with the Nats.

I'm now convinced I'm done in Washington. I will be requesting a trade everyday next season once we get to June. Not only did we finish 62-100 but they trade away Ryan Zimmerman for Alex Gordon of KC. Zimmerman had one year left on his deal and was making only 9.2 million? If not the trade I will try my best to make arbitration as costly for them as I can so that they will move me eventually.

                    I feel better now.

How do you guys have so much time to play?

I just got a hit in my 45th straight game in AAA, inching towards breaking the record. I am still 3rd in the All-Star voting for SS because the other SS on my team is HOT, and he always drives me in when I am on base. Another shortstop is hitting like .400, so maybe he will hit a cold spell and fall out of the race.

I am currently up to 64s for contact, 48s for Power, just got up to 40 for Durability, mid 30s for the rest of the hitting categories, 50s for fielding, and 78 for speed.

There is still about a month before the All-Star break, but I am hitting .370 with only 1 HR, 27 RBIs, 27 SB, 16 Doubles, 1 triple, and about 25 runs. They have me hitting leadoff somethings, and cleanup the other times (I am much better as a leadoff hitter).

Still in the Padres organization, on another losing team. I will be requesting a trade when the deadline comes, but I have a feeling I won't get dealt.

I ended up going with the slurve, but I may add either a curve or slider next. So far in my first game I punched out 3 with the slurve, it's a great strikeout pitch.

I had the 12-6 curve in my RTTS last year, and it's nice but my curveball has a bit of that movement and good for now. I needed something with the side movement too, now I just need to pick between curve, slider, or another FB for my 5th pitch. I'm thinking curve, because I really challenge pitchers and get a lot of favorable counts, so I end up having some "waste" pitches where I try and get them to bite.

Well I am in late August 2010. Now the starting LF for Portland Beavers after spending much of the first half of the season as the 4th OF and backup 1b.

My bat has been on fire recently, and currently am hitting .320 with 9 Hr's and 50 RBI.
