I've just downloaded the latest patch (v1.07) and right after that my RTTS for my C crashed in November right before FA. And I'm only in AA. I was just wondering if this happen to anyone else, and if so is there a way around it, because I would hate to start over for the third time (to be fair the first time was because I was unhappy with my player).

I hate my third baseman in AA. He is absolutely terrible. The guy couldn't catch a beach ball if it was hit to him. Almost cost me the win last night.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread

Well, I finally made it to The Show! After spending 2010 in AAA with the Pirates organization, I got an invite to Spring Training for 2011. Had an amazing spring. Just tore the cover off the ball. After Spring Training ended, I got a message saying I'm receiving a pay raise of $390,000 and "welcome to the big time!"

So, now I'm the full-time right fielder for the Pirates. Of course, the team is terrible. lol. We're 3-6 right now. So my first game in the majors with my right fielder, we're playing the Cubs, and my first at-bat is against Rich Harden. What happens in my first at-bat.....? He hits me with the first pitch!! lol. Anyway, I did get my first career hit of the season against him a few innings later. A little blooper of an infield hit. I also hit my first career home run in the 5th game of the season. I hit it against Micah Owings of the Cinncinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark. A rocket shot to right field. Pretty sweet. I'm in the final year of my 3-year contract, and I don't expect to be staying with the Pirates. Hopefully I can sign on with a great team.

I did what a lot of you recommended about the points. I saved up all my points until after Spring Training was over. Definitely a great idea.

He dropped a pop up last night.

I wish I could go tell the manager that a change needs to be made. That or send me up to triple A.

Your stuck with the Pirates man unless you get traded to another team. You have to do a minumem of 6 MLB years before your a free agent. I'm stuck with Baltimore and they havent won more than 50 games yet, and last year was the end of my contract. So in the offseason the only offer I had was you got it..Baltimore!! And they refuse to trade me.

Is there a trade deadline in RTTS? I'm in AA and it seems like I've been on the trading block forever.

Are you still stuck with the team if you weren't drafted? I was signed through free agency by the Rockies when I first started. After year 3, they offered me a one year contract, which I accepted. Do I still need to play for them 2 more years before I'm a FA?

You need to play 6 years of MLB service before your a FA meaning your time in AA and AAA doesnt matter. So the only way I switched teams was being traded from the Mariners to Oriolers then to the Indians and then back to the Oriolers. I've heard of a few guys who kept declining the contracts over and over agian in the offseason and ended up being offered from a different team. But I've heard other guys say they kept declining and then finally the game made then Re-Sign.

So your pretty much stuck with the team you started with unless your traded.

Yea its same as in real life July 31. I know I was kept on the trading block passed the deadline and was traded in the offseason.

Well, if that's the case, then I pray I get traded. However, before the season started, I did an interaction with the manager in which I told him I wouldn't be re-signing with the team and would test the free agent market. I guess if you have to have 6 years of MLB service time, that the interaction doesn't mean anything. lol. Come on trade deadline!!! lol.

made a 2nd baseman, got drafted by the cardinals but after the all star break i got traded to the orioles?? stayed in the minors for the next couple of years, then got a call to the majors cause of injury.. pinch hit in a game and hit a homerun my first pitch of my first major league at-bat.

Got spring training invite after that season, did well started in the majors but got sent down a couple weeks in. Improved my stats more, and did more advancement goals after the allstar break got called up to the majors, took over the starting 2nd baseman job, and i think im here to stay. my guys contact is a B, and overall rating is a C. Just started a my 5th year last contract year, and i dont plan on resigning. Because i would like to go to a winning team. The orioles lack in talent and they're in the same division as the red sox and yanks. Anyone have any suggetions on where i should try to go as a 2nd baseman in the off season of my 5th year??

LOL I thought the same thing when I seen the interaction and got all excited and was expecting a lot of offers. Well I was dissapoint to only see Baltiomore and I did some research and found out the 6 year thing. So pray for a trade, but you could be traded to another horrible team like I was lol.

I'm finally in my fifth year and the starter for the Brewers. I actually became starter midway through the previous season and the Brewers ended up losing in the World Series to the Red Sox.

Hopefully we can repeat our season this year.

I don't know why, but I simply can't hit homeruns. I managed 5 throughout the season last year and in spring training got 3.

                                I'm batting .426 but I can't hit homeruns.

                                My attributes are:

                                LCON - 71
                                RCON - 71
                                LPOW - 54
                                RPOW - 65
                                VIS - 52

What is the problem? any ideas?

I even tried 5 games on rookie, but couldn't hit one homerun. I suck.
