Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

    Team: Yankees
    Players Name: Joba Chamberlain
Signature/Personal Routine: Takes his glove off and holds it with his right hand as he walks around the mound on the first base side
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? After every strikeout with the bases empty except if it ends the inning

Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

      Team: Tampa Bay Rays
      Players Name: Grant Balfour
Signature/Personal Routine: He yells at himself to get pumped up during an inning. He also pumps his fist after a strike out
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
After a strikeout or when he closes out an inning

      Team: Tampa Bay Rays
      Players Name: Matt Garza
Signature/Personal Routine: He stands on top of the mound at the beginning of every inning, takes his hat off, and talks to it.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
At the beginning of every inning

      Team: Tampa Bay Rays
      Players Name: Dioner Navarro
Signature/Personal Routine: He kisses his right hand and points it towards the sky; When he's catching he will kick the chalk from the back of the batters box(both sides) at the begining of games. I believe he only does this during home games.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Doubles and Homeruns. For Doubles he does it once he's reached base. For Homeruns, he does it after he crosses the plate.

      Team: Tampa Bay Ryas
      Players Name: Carlos Pena
Signature/Personal Routine: He smacks his helmet 3-4 times after rounding 1st base. Also before every pitch he holds his bat out across the plate so that it is parallel with the plate before he goes into his crouch. He does a half swing while doing this. He performs this 3-4 times and it is a very short/ slow swing
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
      He does this after homeruns

      Team: Tampa Bay Ryas
      Players Name: James Shields
Signature/Personal Routine: When he is in the stretch, he crouches down and comes back up like Mike Mussina used to do before coming set.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
When a player is on base aka when he is in the stretch

When he strikes out, he quickly snatches the bat with his other hand in disgust. When its a called third strike he barks the entire way back to the dugout.
What game situation: Strike outs swinging and looking
In 09, they don't have him holding his bat before the pitcher throws the pitch..

          Team: San Francisco Giants
          Players Name: Brian Wilson
Signature/Personal Routine: Crosses his arms and forms an X with them. His hands are closed like a fist except both of his index fingers are sticking out. Here's a pic
The official website of the San Francisco Giants with the most up-to-date information on news, tickets, schedule, stadium, roster, rumors, scores, and stats.

What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? In a save opportunity, he does this every time he gets a save.

What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? When it's his day to pitch, and he's on the hill. All the time.
I hate to waste a space with this comment but this is one of THE WORST habits in baseball!!!! To constantly see him spitting is ridiculous. Even his last Spring Training game he was doing this. Man, how could u have this much saliva in your mouth. Disgusting! Sorry. Later

This was explained, but not as precise as it should have been when Paps is on the mound.

                  Team: Boston Red Sox
                  Players Name: Jonathan Papelbon
Signature/Personal Routine: When on the mound, and before every pitch, Jonathan leans on his front leg with his right arm hanging almost to the ground, and also staring at the ground. He then slowly, from looking at the ground, peers up and in to the catcher (usually Varitek). Once he gets the sign he then stands upright, puts his right hand into the glove where the ball is which at this point is about chest high. He then pushes the ball and the glove down at the same time towards his waste. Checks the runners if there are any, then starts his delivery with a high leg swing I might add. If he ends with a strike out he then bends down toward the ground a pumps his right fist about three to five times or so, and then wraps his right arm around the catcher after he is given the ball at the end of the game.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Before every pitch.

                      Team: Chicago White Sox
                      Players Name: Carlos Quentin
Signature/Personal Routine: Takes a couple of half swings at the plate before the pitcher sets and before he gets into his stance. He sort of brings his bat to the plate back and forth a couple times. If you watch one of his at bats you'll see it once he steps into the batters box. I'm sure other White Sox fans know what I'm talking about.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Before every at bat.

Ah, thanks for reminding me Jermaine, John Bowker of the Giants totally does that too.

                        Team: San Francisco Giants
                        Players Name: John Bowker
Signature/Personal Routine: Takes a couple of half swings over the plate and and he keeps doing this until the pitcher goes into his motion, then he sets into his stance.

                          Team: New York Mets
                          Players Name: Oliver Perez
Signature/Personal Routine: Jumps over the 1st base or 3rd base line when walking off the field after an inning (the line depends on which direction his team's dugout is).
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? End of an inning he has pitched (and possibly when he's removed from the game by his manager, though I don't know this for sure).

                            Team: Milwaukee Brewers
Players Name: Many players... Mike Cameron mostly, plus Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder
Signature/Personal Routine: Untuck jerseys immediately following the final out of the game
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? End of game, only in wins, and not after every game, but many (mostly close games). It started in 2008 when Mike Cameron came over. He always does it; his dad used to do it when he came home after a long day's work, so Mike Cameron picked it up, then many of the Brewers did it.

                              Players Name: Carlos Delgado
Signature/Personal Routine: After a ground ball double play ending with him he pumps his fist down. Early in games its a light celebration, but he gets more enthusiastic in the later innings when the games are close.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? After any ground ball double play where he makes the last out.

                                Players Name: Ryan Braun
Signature/Personal Routine: before every pitch Braun steps out of the box, picks up a hand full of dirt, rugs his hands together. He will then step in then pull up his pants on his left leg with his right hand. Hold his crotch region with his right hand, with his bat out front in his right hand straight up...then goes to his stance
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? every pitch

One other thing would be in the two videos below...the first one if he were to hit a walk off or a monster shot, do his little walk like in the first one vs. the cardinals....and in the second one where he sticks his tongue out would be a nice touch, but most importantly how he untucked his jersey...all the brewers do it after each and every win and it would be amazing to see...also the 3 outfielders get together (with jerseys untucked) a few feet behind 2nd base and the 3 do a jumping high five after every win that they win when they are in the field...
