I'd agree -- but he does it.

Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

      Team: Tampa Bay Rays
      Players Name: Evan Longoria
Signature/Personal Routine: He will tap the back of the plate and the front on the plate then when he steps up to the plate, he gets into a normal stance(both feet aligned) and he will take the bat in his left hand. He will then point the bat towards the pitcher and do 1-2 windmills(or circles) with the bat in his left hand (AKA he swings the bat in a circle with his wrist as a pivot). He grabs the bat with his right hand when he is at the bottom of the circle and releases it when he gets to the top of it. When he has done this a few times he will set up into his normal stance
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Before every pitch

        Team: Cleveland Indians
        Players Name: Rafael Betancourt
Signature/Personal Routine: takes a very long time between pitches. Kind of just sits there, slowly twitches and then makes a pitch
Situations? every single time he pitches.
I agree completely - The Shoppach run off.

Raffy is the human rain delay when he pitches.

A side note - I love the fact the drum beats when your in Progressive field, but I think the sound and situation needs a little work. John Adams is the name of the life-long tribe fan who usually beats the drum when the tribe is batting and there are runners in scoring position.

          Team: Yankees
          Players Name: CC Sabathia
Signature/Personal Routine: Always catches the throw from the third baseman with his bare hand.
Situations? After an around the horn from a strike-out or ground out.

At least he did this when he was with the tribe.

            Team: Tampa Bay Rays
            Players Name: BJ Upton
Signature/Personal Routine: When he steps up to the plate, he puts his right foot in first and digs it into the ground. While doing this, he holds his helmet with his left hand and his bet with his right hand. When he is fully dug in he puts his left foot in and hits the back of the plate and the front of the plate. Then he goes into his regular stance

              Team: Marlins
              Players Name: Hanley Ramirez
Signature/Personal Routine: Batter walk up - As he's walking up he'll do a two handed full quick practice swing. Then digs in at the plate, pulls his sleeve up & does his normal two quick yet precise half swings before going into his stance.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? As he's walking up to the plate for his at bat.

              Team: Marlins
              Players Name: Hanley Ramirez
Signature/Personal Routine: Batter step in/step out routine - After he takes a pitch he'll adjust/pull on his pants just below the waist of his front leg.... steps out & taps the bat on each of his shoes, steps back in & pulls his sleeve up, followed by a quick tug on his pants once again as he's getting back into his stance.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? In between each pitch that he takes for a strike or a ball.

              Team: Marlins
              Players Name: Hanley Ramirez
Signature/Personal Routine: Batter step in/step out routine - after a swing & miss he'll step back place bat under one arm, adjust his gloves & then push his helmet down. When he steps back in its the same adjusting of his sleeve & pants(front leg) as always.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? After a swing and a miss or a fouled off pitch.

I'll try to post a description of Uggla and Cantu's walk ups & step in/out routines at a later date.

                Team: White Sox
                Players Name: Jim Thome
Signature/Personal Routine: In situation where Thome hit's a HR, is on base for a HR, or is the next batter after a HR, he does a formal hand shake and a head nod with whoever he greets at home plate.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Every time he hits a HR, is on base for a HR, or is the next batter after a HR. So basically anytime he is involved with a HR.

                    Team: White Sox
                    Player: Gavin Floyd
Signature/Personal Routine: Gavin will tug at his jersey on the left near his shoulder after each pitch.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? He does this after every pitch, be it a ball or strike. The only time he doesn't do this is when there is a hit

                    Team: White Sox
                    Player: Gavin Floyd (Again)
Signature/Personal Routine: Occasionally between abs, Gavin will step off the mound and take his glove off. He will then place the glove under his right armpit and will spin the ball between his hands. He does this while he walks toward centerfield.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? He does this whenever he falls behind a batter. OR whenever the umpire gives him a new baseball.

                      Team - San Diego Padres
                      Player - Edwin Moreno
Animation - Bends over at the waist and rocks side to side
When Used - Before his first pitch of every appearance (i guess to psych himself up)

Please completely redo Roy Halladay. It looks nothing like it does in real life with his wind up.

                              Red Sox

                              Players Name:
                              Jason Varitek

                              Signature/Personal Routine:
Same as before except he no longer moves his legs. He stands completely still. He adjusted this due to the fact that it killed his timing on hitting fastballs.

What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
                              Every time he bats.
