Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

    Team:Atlanta Braves
    Players Name:ALL
Signature/Personal Routine:Bobby Cox has a team rule in which all players must wear their sunglasses on the BACK of their hats (glasses upside down). This is because Cox will not allow the Braves' "A" logo to be covered up if the player chooses to bring his glasses to the field but not wear them.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?:Whenever the situation calls for it.

Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

      Team:Atlanta Braves
      Players Name:Yunel Escobar-SS
Signature/Personal Routine:Before an at-bat, Escobar will take his last swing on the on-deck circle, and then walk a few steps forward. After doing so, he will jump two or three times in the air, bringing his legs up bent, against his back upper legs. then he will continue walking towards the batter's box.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?: Before every at-bat, or at least his first in the game.

        Team: Minnesota Twins
        Players Name: Carlos Gomez
Signature/Personal Routine: When walking up to the plate before an AB he holds the bat sideways with a hand on each end up to his nose and appears to be talking to the bat or sniffing it as he spins it.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Before every AB.

Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

I apologize if this isn't what you are looking for but I saw signature animations and I immediately thought, how about signature swings, rather than just a one hand or two hand swing.

          Team:
          Atlanta Braves
          Players Name: Chipper Jones
Signature/Personal Routine: Toe tap as the pitch is coming in rather then a single step and then his smooth and effortless swing.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? each swing

I personally like these things more than cutscenes as a player walks up to the plate as those kind of take me out of the action. Also, having signature swings would be a way to better individualize each player. I think of guys like Ichiro with his high leg kick and almost running as he swings and Utley with his almost 3/4 chop swing where this would help as these two currently have the same swing in the game at least as far as I could tell.

Sorry again if I posted this in the wrong area and keep up the great work; MLB 09 The Show is clearly the best representation of any sports videogame I've ever played.

to add to the above, it would be a nice little addition to have the option to have your player grip the bat like chipper and many others do with there hand over the knob.

He will then step in then pull up his pants on his left leg with his right hand. Hold his crotch region with his right hand, with his bat out front in his right hand straight up...then goes to his stance

This may be outdated. He didn't do that at all in today's game, or in the WBC. He still adjusts his jersey (just a little bit) but no longer does the lengthy crotch-grab.

                      Team: Seattle Mariners
                      Players Name: Ichiro
Signature/Personal Routine: There are 2 issues.

                      1) Before every pitch, he "draws" a big circle with his bat, then holds his bat in front of him and stands still for about 2 seconds in his siganture "samurai" pose. In the current MLB the Show games, he holds the pose for only half a second with the wrong arm angle. His arm should be straight/parallel to the ground. Just watch a video of him in real life VS the animation in The Show and you will see.

                      2) Ichiro NEEDS his running swing. He never stands still and swings. He swings and steps toward 1st base at the same time. Please don't be mad at me for saying this but please look at MVP Baseball from Electronic arts. They have the Ichiro swing animation right and if you can somehow mimic that then Ichiro would be perfect.

What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Every pitch/every swing

Thank you so much and I really look forward to this being fixed next year or I will keep bugging you guys forever.

i caught the replay of last nights game and noticed he does do most of the same routine, but does it at a much faster pace and gets into his stance quicker.
