      Would love to have weather!

Like for example games played in cold and damp weather. And you would see pitchers blowing on there hand

Also some light rain and heavy rain.

This would be really cool to see.

I see this all the time in real games on TV.
its a small thing, but yea.

besides, they already have the pitcher wearing the jacket after he gets a hit.I never expected that.

oh and Russell, PLEASE no santa throwing out a pitch. lol

          SCEA

I was just looking at some All-Star Baseball videos from the past, and they blew my mind. This is how you need to make your franchise mode. Also, in gameplay, have balks! ASB did this and honestly they had the most "sim" gameplay and game I've seen so far. I used to play this game but it was 6 years ago so I couldn't remember. It might be too late but this would make MLB a complete game.

put in a choice to wear longsleeves not auto have them on and every player has to have them.

have a feature were you can have cpu roster on but still have all the features that get shutoff when doing so.

like one of the other posts look back at asb that is the way to go for franchises and expansion teams

my two big things are still random generated counts option and new player models. seems like we would know by this point if new player models are going to make it in 10 or not...do we know?

While i do prefer playing with mlb players i'd like to have the option of generating an all fiction player draft.

I love creating Historic rosters with SCEA's incredible face tool.

I think it would be cool if SCEA offered us decade sensitive equipment, uniforms, stadiums and appropriate fans clothes for each era...

-Higher resolution lights (at night of course). They look like a low-rez jpeg: the light radiating off the lights themselves look like they're connected to the lights.

-Higher resolution foul poles. A little jaggy jaggy for my taste.

-Less zoom-in on player's face during a home run cut scene. These are cool but I think we'd all prefer those amazing camera pan out, no doubter-cam shots. It seems heavily favored to the player close-up in the ratio between these two methods. The pan out is one thing that makes this game shine. Totally beautiful, rewarding to see the stadium from that perspective and watch the player strut for a second. Play to your strengths.

-Option to let the closing pitcher come in automatically during the 9th instead of the inning starting out with the previous pitcher, then pausing to swap.

-Swap purple in beach ball to white. This will make it look real and not generated from MS Paint.

-Somehow incorporate that "after the game" highlights camera into gameplay. Those highlights look like a real TV broadcast.

-Online highlights SHOULD NOT BE IN SLOW MOTION. We already have to wait for the super slow "MLB 09 The Show" logo screen, and then after our patience is tried with that, the replay starts in slow motion, and no one cares to wait anymore, a button is quickly pressed to reject this presentation, and then we're forced to see another unnecessary logo screen with the team logos, and that also seems to drag. Get rid of the two logo screens and just show the play in full motion.

-Online, I'd like the option to not show my opponents fielding graphics (you know, the "put your guy here" markers). I want to be on the edge of my seat until the play is made, like on TV.

-Player collision. No more running through ghosts.

-Custom stadium music online. If I'm hosting (and therefore picking the home team/stadium) I want my opponent to hear carefully selected "my team just took the lead" situational music like Blur's "Song 2" that's used in just about every park around. Because these clips are only a few seconds long, and they're from highly compressed mp3s anyway, a solid connection would only take 30 seconds or less to download the few 5-second clips.

-Online, the batter feedback needs to be accurate. I'm not sure if the game is messed up and I got jipped because it says I hit it "perfect" and "wheelhouse" - or if it's the other way around and the game works fine, but the feedback is messed up. You got to feel me on this one!

-Online should mimic that of offline. Check swings need to work EXACTLY as they do offline. Slight dynamic camera work is appreciated and needs to show its beautiful self online, not just offline.

-The time window of how long you have to aim the L-stick for hitting needs to remain open until contact is made. As it stands, most of my swings are down the middle. Most old school players are accustomed to aiming and hitting in one move. If you try this method on the Show 09, all of your swings are down the middle.

-It would be nice to see some footage of the stadium from outside, or an aerial cam mixed in prior to the panning stadium shots pregame. Or in fact, sometime in the middle of the game, between innings, show a blimp style cam of the stadium and the surrounding city buildings, with the camera moving slightly as if the blimp is moving.

-Foul ball and home run balls should be caught by fans instead of disappearing or stagnating with no interest by the fans.

-Jaggies everywhere in stadium. Stadium lines seem to "move" just about everywhere, especially when seen from the outfield.

-I think the camera should follow the ball a little bit more when the ball is hit high or far. It would be nice to see the camera above the ball, or at least show the ball, especially on weak home runs, we don't even see the ball.

-Home run cut scene in San Francisco of ball hitting the water.

-Home run cut scenes shouldn't be allowed to be skipped by the suffering opponent online. If I hit a good one, I want to reap all the possible rewards, and he/she should have to sit there and admire my work if only for 10 seconds. If I'm lucky enough to get Bernie in Milwaukee to slide down the slide in left field, I want to see it. It's gorgeous. These are the types of things that make me want to play.

-More home run cut scenes. Not asking for more replays after the home run, but more wonderful "as it's happening" type stuff.

-Retractable roofs opening/closing in game, or prior to game, or at all. How about it starts to rain in Seattle, or Phoenix (it does, especially during monsoon season in July) and the roof closes.

-Those gigantic panels at the back of the stadium in Phoenix open/close to give the stadium an "open air" or "enclosed dome" vibe.

-Better sounds of players hitting their bodies against things in different parks. When an outfielder jumps against the green monster in Boston you can hear them hitting those score board signs and it sounds jarring.

-Love the questionable home run cams that pan out into that "foul ball?" camera from the plate. More of these. I hit a home run that according to the announcer "hit the foul pole," but I didn't get to see it. These shots you guys have in the game make it truly a remarkable and enjoyable experience. 2k3 used to have these, but I jumped ship when they took them out in 2k5. Keep all this stuff and make it stronger, for me, this is the true meat of the game.

Slightly late swings of 'good' strikes in the zone, WILL result in opposite field hits.

Pulled swings of 'good' strikes in the zone, WILL result in various pulled hits---including gappers.

'perfectly timed' hits...result in a majority of hits (including homers) hit out to center.

                      so forth, and so on...

                          Re: @ bakesalee

Let me find some threads you contributed to and mock you. If you don't appreciate things on my wish list, get bent. This is a "wish list" and I understand that all wishes aren't granted. I'm a sucker for details, deal with it. You act like I'm disappointed with the game. As if I'm going to start a thread "The beach ball looks fake, I'm going with 2k10."

-No one is "worried" about low resolution textures such as the stadium lights. They could be improved, and that's all!

-L-stick aiming is necessary. I've seen a "timing only" baseball game, and it meant that my roomates girlfriend (who doesn't play videogames) was able to hang with the seasoned baller - by only having to worry about 1 button for the whole hour!

-You have "noooooo" idea why I'm asking for the closer to come in to the game in a realistic fashion instead of my starter standing on the mound to start the 9th inning, only to be removed, as he should have never should have come back on the field? Please...

I realize things on my "wishlist" aren't MUST-HAVE changes. In fact, almost all could be generalized as small presentation upgrades. I am offering ideas that I think would only improve upon the already superior experience. I don't even know why I spent time thinking about improvements only to get unfairly ripped, added to the fact that nothing in this thread will ever be read for consideration. As the title states, "although it's too late." What a waste of my time.

regarding the L-stick issue...I'm one of those old timers you refer to...and in truth...and I've been saying since since MLB 2007...no L-stick is needed...honestly it isn't. The hits will come and be placed as they should if one's timing is on point---or close to it...

                          I don't use the L-stick
Folks should learn patience on some types of pitches to see the results they're trying to obtain.

Again, does everyone realize that this wish list has become a moot point? Most of this stuff (if it isn't already in the game plan from wish lists way earlier in the year) is moot and will apply to 2011.

Just a thought so that you guys don't really think that all this stuff is going to apply to the 2010 game. The door is pretty well closed, fine tuning what has already been added.

I'll let people continue posting here if they have wishes.

But, Jim is absolutely right. The game has been in production for nearly a year. The SCEA team isn't likely to add any new features. They are likely fine tuning what's already in there.

When The Show 2010 is released, I'm sure someone will open up a new wish list thread and we'll have this one closed.
