On a somewhat related note, in franchise when you chose your sponsors, didn't they actually appear in the stadium back in the older versions (or maybe they still do)? That was a nice touch, I thought.
I remember Rawlings and Louisville slugger.

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)

      1. More Signature styles in pitching/hitting. Also add fielding signature styles. Not all the fielders field the ball the exact same way as one another. (Adrian Beltre apparently sidearms everything while JJ Hardy is more over the top.)

      2. Signature swings. same thing, not all batters have the same exact swing. Compare Dustin Pedroia's swing to Matt Hollidays. Just have different swing animations where all of them are all the same timing. (No swing taking longer than the other once the button's pressed.)

      3. Weather. as mentioned in other replies. Along with added things to the stadiums. More vendors. not sure if there are walking vendors in the stands. Add photographers, more cameramen. Stadiums like Yankees stadium has a lot of media going on. Depending on how well the team's doing, there should be a big difference in the atmosphere of each stadium depending on how much media/crowd size is in the stadium. Playoffs should feel like playoffs as crowd noise should be louder, lights should go off in the stands, and players should show more emotion or focus. Different camera angles as well. Make it feel like every single pitch matters.

      4. MLB Network integration.. Now this would be interesting. The mlb network is on 24/7 correct? What if they somehow had a sponsor or partnership with the network itself and have some sort of broadcast during the game menus after logging online to the psnetwork like nba live 10 has with espn (though it's not live, just clips i believe). Have it shown off to the side within menu somewhere and possibly during the loading screens. It would definitely make the loading screens feel a lot shorter.

      5. Fixed RTTS. I've always had a hard time making a guy in RTTS whether it be a pitcher or hitter. I play casually and maybe they could add some difficulty differences instead of just the Rookie-Legend/Sliders. Make it so an easier difficulty can get you easier training points. Be able to make a godlike mlb player without any effort needed until you get sick of it would be nice. =]

      6. Franchise mode single A or A+ minor league teams. yes

      7. HOMERUN DERBY. Something that's needed to be returned to the game for a while now. Contest should be accessed from the menus and one should be held right before the allstar game in all game modes.

      8. I wouldn't know if this is possible or not but add more depth into create a player. what if you could create your own hitting/pitching stance? Say you're given a timeline (like WWEsmackdownvsraw's create a move) And you get to move the arm angles, leg movement, body, head, etc. into many different ways to create your own stances. Problems like wrong stances and all that stuff would be corrected.

      9. Ability to upload player faces from online or browse through your own photos for create-a-player faces. Customize your player photo/player card with your own picture from your comp or online. you know what i mean..

      10. Integrate player music/stadium music/created stances & player photos(my ideas) into rosters of roster vault.

      11. Real time simulation in scoreboards for season/franchise/RTTS modes. (standings especially) hate seeing the Rays in last place constantly every time I play at fenway. (Once online, show real life standings/scores during exhibition modes.)

      12. NBA Live 10's DNA idea. I read in one of the earlier posts. I really don't know how they did it for that game, but it works. The same idea to mlb the show would be incredible. Updated player stats, standings, scores, etc.

      13. Fully controlled fielding. be able to have more control of the fielding instead of just hitting 1 button and cross your fingers to make a play. Add be ability to throw a ball, hit a button or joystick to control how fast you make a tag. Hate it when you watch your guy make a SLOW tag to the bag and have the base runner safe..

      14. Better ball physics. it feels sometimes everything is completely foreseen. EVERY game i play, there's a base hit line drive grounder perfectly down the middle or a base hit right by my 3rd baseman. No matter how perfect or precised I pitch, I will come across those in every single game. Ball should be able to precisely go anywhere in the ballpark. Out of the ballpark homeruns would be nice =].

      15. Multiplayer. For example, Exhibition mode. 4 remotes connected, each person chooses players from whichever team. They get to specifically control those players for the entire game whether it's the starter, someone in the bullpen or someone in the lineup. Maybe someone gets to choose to be the manager or the game to choose who goes into pitch next and when? ADD DEPTH and creativity. same thing could go for any other modes. Even online possibly. Take something from NHL10 and add an mmo like feel to it. Create a guy, hop right into the action in whichever game, work on your guy and become good with the ranks. Possibility of these ideas are endless!

      16. Finally, collision detection. AT LEAST not have anything go through anything else like they aren't suppose to. Be able to make a real tag and not put the glove through the guy's body.

I would like to see the addition of more adjustable camera options for pitching and batting.

He does, both sides. Just played a game, both catchers throw every pitch back to the pitcher.

Redo the whole menu interface. Its really, really, really outdated. Especially in Franchise mode.

I don't know how you guys would feel about this, but i was thinking of using Guess Pitch in a way that would allow you to get feedback as the ball was being delivered...say for instance, you guessed curveball but instead of being notified when the pitcher starts their motion, wait until the ball appears in their delivery at release or just before release, maybe a color code like what was in the MVP series, how soon you get feedback could depend on how deceptive the pitcher's delivery is...but never during the pitcher's motion...if you guess incorrectly, still no feedback, just a thought.

How about getting a new theme song for MLB 10 The Show

I am tired of hearing the same one every year.

I think it would be pretty awesome to have "The Catch" on the left-centerfield wall at US Cellular Field where DeWayne Wise made the catch to save Buehrle's perfect game. It's right over Billy Pierce (I don't know if they put his picture on the back of the US Cellular field for 'The Show' or not, I've never quite understood why they have the regular players and not the classic players that are up there in real life).

Post that in the stadium feedback thread. It would be great to get this in.

Ive seen in here that people are wanting to see new player models...I was just wondering what people have in mind with these models? I like them as they are but Ive been playing 2k on 360 up until this past spring...so, the players in this game look nearly perfect to me, just wanted to know what you guys were talking about with new models

not sure if it has been already mentioned, but I'd love to be able to press the x button to 'autonext'... for ex. a flyball catch, and I dont want to watch the throw back to the infield... or a foulball, i dont want to watch it play through. Helps speed up the game when you want to.

Real quick thing here, for pitchers, either allow us to choose which side of the rubber to throw from, or have the signature pitching styles reflect where they pitch from. (i.e. Lincecum is way towards the first base side)

i'm one of those in the camp that says that some updated player models will take this game to the next level. i'm not saying the models now are bad, but they're just upgraded models from the previous gen games. we're looking for some next gen models. a big thing for me are the throw animations and the arms and legs. most the players just remind me of george constanza (especially if they have the tucked in pants).

from what i understand though, is that new models mean new animations. so if they did new models, the amount of animations this year will be pretty low (at least compared to the amount of animations that were built over the past 8-10 years from the previous model).

                                anyway...just some thoughts.
